Kanchanaburi Province Tours

Totally recommend this day trip. It was a very long day, but absolutely worth the journey to see these amazing historic sights. Tour guide was very professional but a little hard to understand (no issue however). It was a small group travelling by mini van. Plenty of toilet and snack stops. The giraffes at the safari park was a real highlight along with the train ride on the death railway. Meet up point was easy to find, check in easy and tour arrived back about 8pm. Highly recommend this tour but be prepared for a long day.

Each attraction was a bit short but still good. The lunch spot was excellent, and Kanchanaburi is definitely worth exploring. I also want to commend the tour guide for being incredibly dedicated. He provided explanations in both Chinese and English, and he took great care of the group. He only went to eat after everyone was seated and had started their meal. His historical explanations were also very detailed. He was truly attentive; he never even introduced himself by name until the very end, or perhaps he did and I just missed it. Despite the afternoon rain, he continued to serve everyone diligently, and I hope the travel agency gives him a raise. I'd also like to praise our minibus driver, number 6058. He was very kind and polite. It turns out he speaks Chinese, and after each stop, he would extend his hand to help us board the bus. He was incredibly polite and also deserves a raise. Thank you.

I was surprised that it wasn’t cancelled knowing that we were only 2 in the trip. The falls was the highlight of the trip. I wish I could have reached level 7 but made me want to go back. The war museum was also an eye-opener and Eddy was a great guide. He explained the history and gave us clear instructions as much as he can. I also noticed that several of the tour guides under TripGuru were already old and one of them is Eddy. I kind of appreciate the fact that despite their age, they were still given opportunities to work as tour guides. Highly recommend this tour and this company. Will definitely go back to Erawan.

Had an amazing day on the Kanchanaburi tour (Death Railway, Safari Park, and River Kwai Bridge)! The itinerary was well-organized and truly enjoyable. A special shoutout to our guide, Sami—He was super friendly, cheerful, approachable, and extremely helpful from start to finish. He gave us wonderful guidance throughout the trip. Thanks to him, we had a fantastic experience filled with laughter. Highly recommended!

I knew exactly what it was we were going to see, my family did not so there are two perspectives captured here. I had already wanted to visit the Bridge over the River Kwai since I was in my teens by virtue of the film. It is very difficult to get to without a suggestion of staying over however time is short and it’s not the kind of place (in my opinion to do that). Getting there and back is the hard bit but Angie (our guide) and Mr Kim (our driver) made it all go very smoothly and Angie looked after our mixed group very well always making sure everyone was where they needed to be at the correct time. The itinerary was moved about to provide the best experience and we found our visit to the River Kwai Bridge was almost earliest as we made it before the mass of tourists. We then seen the war cemetery and Dearh Railway Museum (excellent and unfit for my family), followed by a train journey across the river Kwai and onward. A nice lunch with great views was then followed by Hellfire pass.

Everything about this private tour for 2pax that we avail is a top notched. From our driver to your guide in the area plus the staffs and mahuot (caretaker of elephants) were all amazing.Each of them has their own life story and I wished we could do more to all of them but we can only give back so much. Thank you for this wonderful experienced with elephants from baby to grandma.

This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. Super highly recommended! Our tour guide Katie was so accommodating and patient in helping us navigating our stops. She was so nice in answering our questions. We booked a private tour and it was so worth it because we had the entire car to ourselves and they were ok with picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel. The itinerary was so thoughtful too, we learned a lot about Thai history and culture and being able to wrap it all up with an afternoon tea session was the cherry on top. 💕
