Things to do in Kanchanaburi Province

Our family purchased a join-in tour package, and after placing the order, we contacted the travel agency to add on the jeep ride and giraffe photo experience. The website provided clear information, so we understood the booking process, and the meeting point on the day of the tour was easy to find as per the website's instructions. The itinerary included the Bridge on the River Kwai, a ride on the Death Railway, and the safari park, all of which were excellent. It would have been even better if we could have spent more time at the safari park. In addition to the jeep ride and giraffe photo opportunity, the original ticket included a bus ride to feed deer, giraffes, and other animals. There was also an option to pay extra for a photo with a crocodile. Both adults and children had a wonderful time!

This is a worthwhile experience if you want to take a day trip outside of Bangkok. Our tour guide, Cindy, was very enthusiastic and provided clear instructions. The natural scenery was incredibly beautiful, and we had some once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

I was surprised that it wasn’t cancelled knowing that we were only 2 in the trip. The falls was the highlight of the trip. I wish I could have reached level 7 but made me want to go back. The war museum was also an eye-opener and Eddy was a great guide. He explained the history and gave us clear instructions as much as he can. I also noticed that several of the tour guides under TripGuru were already old and one of them is Eddy. I kind of appreciate the fact that despite their age, they were still given opportunities to work as tour guides. Highly recommend this tour and this company. Will definitely go back to Erawan.

one of my most unforgettable experience. our tour guide was English Speaking, and joked a lot. made us really comfortable, the whole trip was a bit fast. every destination we needed to move fast. but its totally fine. we really enjoyed every destination

This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. I knew exactly what it was we were going to see, my family did not so there are two perspectives captured here. I had already wanted to visit the Bridge over the River Kwai since I was in my teens by virtue of the film. It is very difficult to get to without a suggestion of staying over however time is short and it’s not the kind of place (in my opinion to do that). Getting there and back is the hard bit but Angie (our guide) and Mr Kim (our driver) made it all go very smoothly and Angie looked after our mixed group very well always making sure everyone was where they needed to be at the correct time. The itinerary was moved about to provide the best experience and we found our visit to the River Kwai Bridge was almost earliest as we made it before the mass of tourists. We then seen the war cemetery and Dearh Railway Museum (excellent and unfit for my family), followed by a train journey across the river Kwai and onward. A nice lunch with great views was then followed by Hellfire pass.

Super highly recommended! Our tour guide Katie was so accommodating and patient in helping us navigating our stops. She was so nice in answering our questions. We booked a private tour and it was so worth it because we had the entire car to ourselves and they were ok with picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel. The itinerary was so thoughtful too, we learned a lot about Thai history and culture and being able to wrap it all up with an afternoon tea session was the cherry on top. 💕

Everything about this private tour for 2pax that we avail is a top notched. From our driver to your guide in the area plus the staffs and mahuot (caretaker of elephants) were all amazing.Each of them has their own life story and I wished we could do more to all of them but we can only give back so much. Thank you for this wonderful experienced with elephants from baby to grandma.
