Had to go back to the airport just to pick these up but nevertheless, the process of picking up is smooth. If you’re arriving in Taipei by 2AM and you’re not waiting for the airport rail to open by 6AM, you can just buy at 711/Lawson for the easycard

Fantastic 5.0
Convenient, fast, and flexible. Free cancellation and modification are available before redemption, and different dates can be selected for the outbound and return journeys. At the 1st floor counter, there is a sign indicating the KLOOK ticket collection counter. It is recommended to check the round-trip schedule on the large screen first, then inform the counter staff to issue the ticket. If the return journey is not yet confirmed, you can also reserve a seat at the return station with the invoice. On rainy days, you can reach the bus station via indoor passages from Taipei Main Station or nearby hotels and underground streets, and there are elevators or escalators, making it the perfect choice for a short suburban trip.

I had fun exploring Southern Taiwan with this 3 day pass. Very easy to use, it comes with a booklet that you'll get from the HSR counter. You can book your HSR in advance through the website, can even change your time of departure when you go to the counter. My accomodation is in Taipei and the day trips in Taichung and Tainan was just a breeze. HSR also provides free shuttle bus between HSR station to the main city, just research for the bus number. You have to go through the staff at the gates to pass through, they will inspect the booklet. I'll comeback to explore more of South Taiwan!

Thanks to guide Yang Ji-gon, it was a comfortable trip to Taiwan. It was a family trip with my wife, son, and daughter, so I applied for a customized free schedule tour for travel efficiency and comfort, and as a result, my family was most satisfied with this trip. Guide Yang Ji-gon, who has years of experience, was assigned to us, and he had extensive knowledge of Taiwan and explained everything in detail and kindly whenever we passed by places, making the travel time very worthwhile. When choosing a sky lantern in Shifen, he told us in detail the meaning of each color (health, academics, wealth, etc.), so all of our family members were able to write their wishes. In particular, the guide helped us film the process of releasing the sky lantern, so we left a wonderful video of our whole family smiling brightly. It was really comfortable because he carefully told us about the way back to the car, restaurants, and menus. Shifen Waterfall was also great. Before going to Jiufen, we stopped by Golden Beach and Golden Waterfall to take a breather. The guide gave us plenty of time to take family photos with his explanation, so we got a lot of pretty pictures. It was really nice that the guide recommended the location of Xingfudiantang and delicious bubble tea in Jiufen, and even used a map to point out the photo spots in detail. However, Jiufen itself had too many tourists and the roads were narrow, so my family had a bit of a hard time. In particular, the children had a hard time when they smelled stinky tofu from time to time, so if you want to avoid the crowds, I would recommend visiting early in the morning. We didn't get greedy and only included Shifen and Jiufen in our itinerary, so we were able to look around at our leisure without rushing. We also returned to the hotel a little early, so we were able to spend the evening comfortably with our family.

Got the same driver, Marco, as our trip to Yilan, so having our own itinerary wasn't an issue. The weather for the day was the issue as it slowed all our plans down. In the end we still managed to get our "must-dos" in, except the sky lantern, but the rain was more the deciding factor on that. Marco was nice enough to find the easiest way to drop off and pick us up and Jiufen seeing that my leg was in an air-cast. As always great driver/tour guide/safety guide/photographer. We also took the same vehicle, and like before, had bottles of water provided. The car's temperature was also adjusted to a very comfortable temperature while it was quite chilly outside.

The bus arrived on time, the air conditioning worked very well and the journey was very pleasant. Very quick and easy checkin with the QR code. We weren't quite sure where to get off, but then we used Google Maps to find our way around once we arrived.

Hope this info will help any international traveller going from Kinmen (Shuitou Pier 水头码头) to Xiamen (Wutong Port 五通客运码头) 1) Collect ferry ticket from the left most counter (i.e. i海台已附款取票柜台) at Shuitou Pier 水头码头 2) The ferry tickets can only be collected between 30 and 70 minutes before departure. 3) Security and immigration clearance only starts 60 minutes before ferry departure 4) Luggage will be kept in the luggage rooms within the ferry, but unlike the Kinmen side, you'll need to find and claim your luggage before exiting the ferry! Remember to fill in the physical Arrival Card for Temporary Entry Foreigners (photo before) either provided during the ferry trip or at Wutong Port, as you'll need the card to clear the immigration at Xiamen
