What to expect
Put on a light samoi jacket (a casual Japanese kimono-style coat) and relax with traditional Japanese soft drinks while learning the history and cultural significance of Japanese knives and swords in an interactive way.

Finish by engraving sakura leaves or your name in Japanese on the handle and attaching it with a traditional hammer to complete your one-of-a-kind knife.

This knife-sharpening class was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! 😍 My brother and I had a blast, and the instructors were incredibly friendly! We were warmly welcomed, and they guided us through every step with great care and patience. 13-year-old wanted to do this, and was able to follow along and finish. Staff was great in both English and Japanese. Did final sharpening/polishing of a provided blade and burned writing/art onto the wooden handle.
