breakfast: 4 days same exact food served. major major disappointment, especially when it was over the weekend. nasi lemak n white bee hoon. BORING! too much diff types of bread served, but main variety, only 2.. pancake was also a flop. coffee machines had issues.

At first I hesitate to book Excelsior after reading the reviews. But the location is really fantastic. We walk to Gerbang Malam, Ipoh Old Town and Ipoh Parade. All the popular dim sum, chicken/beansprouts, YTF, etc are just around the hotel. This “old” hotel has bigger (22 sqm) size room as compared to others. The hotel has been renovated and it’s so pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast too. Also the staff are so courteous. I have no regrets staying at Excelsior for 4 nights. Recommended 💕

Very good location near to many places of interest. However breakfast is not as expected, in crowded days, not enough cup for drinks and many empty dishes displayed at buffet counter. Checked what you had paid to booking websites before Check-in, I am made to paid tourism tax at Check-in even though Klook had included the tax in the bookings.
