We highly recommend a stay at Shinkiya Ryokan in Beppu. The facility is exceptionally clean, which was evident when the owner personally wiped our luggage wheels upon arrival. We immediately felt warm hospitality, starting with a welcome treat of snacks and green tea. The room was very spacious and included a comfortable massage chair. The service was excellent; they prepared our futon beds between 7-8 PM and provided Yukata for us to enjoy the private room Onsen. Despite a language barrier, the owner’s kind demeanor and great smile made communication easy and effective. This Ryokan provides fantastic hospitality and is a gem of a find.

Booked this hotel with Klook, I stayed for one night at APA Beppu Hotel, and it was a great experience! The hotel is new, very clean, and well-maintained. It's also conveniently located near Beppu Station, making it easy to get around. I had a comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

overall satisfaction especially the private onsen. if possible, avoid taking the hotel meals as limited seats and noticed some cannot wait and skip it.

A really nice onsen Ryokan experience. The service is 5 star, the onsens are very good. Lots (6? 7?) private family onsens that are first come first serve but we never had a problem finding a vacant one during our 2 days stay. Food was very tasty. Primarily it's fish and vegetables but tastes very good. My only complaint is its location is kinda remote and you lack the vibe of an onsen town but it's also significantly cheaper. Rooms are huge and facilities are new and modern. I'll gladly come back again.
