Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from Yokohama Station, near Takashimaya and Joinus shopping mall. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It only takes about half an hour to get to Yokohama from Haneda Airport, and it's very convenient to take the train to Hakone and Atami. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, with plenty of space to open two or three suitcases, much larger than hotels in downtown Tokyo. Highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is new and clean, with enough space in the room to open two large suitcases. The room window offers city views and a framed view of Mount Fuji, and on clear days, you can also see the sunset. The Refa hairdryer provided in the room is excellent. There's also a wardrobe, microwave, and washing machine, making it suitable for guests on longer trips. Although the hotel is not directly connected to a subway station, it's just a few minutes' walk to both Minatomirai Station and Sakuragicho Station. There are also several shopping malls within a few hundred meters. The lobby and rooftop garden face Yokohama Bay and offer plenty of seating, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The only downside is that the Sky Pool is explicitly for display only and not for swimming, and the jacuzzi is extremely small, only suitable for photos. You must wear a swimsuit to enter, but the weekday operating hours are from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, which means I wasn't at the hotel during those times, so I didn't use it. I tried breakfast one day and found it to be quite good. Overall, the hotel experience was positive, and at less than 900 Hong Kong dollars per night, it offers excellent value for money. I would consider staying here again if I return to Yokohama.

Fantastic 5.0
1️⃣ Convenient Transportation and Excellent Hotel Location: The hotel is directly across from Sakuragicho Station's exit. The Yokohama Air Cabin's starting station is right next to the hotel, and guests receive a 10% discount, making it well worth experiencing the scenery at different times with various friends and family! This time, I stayed in an ocean-view room, offering stunning visual enjoyment of the sea and Ferris wheel from the comfort of the room. 2️⃣ Breakfast: Absolutely delicious! They even have sashimi in the morning! Sitting by the harbor, enjoying the ocean view, and savoring a variety of Japanese and Western dishes is truly a rare experience. 3️⃣ Other Amenities: The staff service, room cleanliness, and amenities provided at the front desk are all excellent. There's also a gym and a public bath, offering everything you could need.

Fantastic 5.0
Extremely convenient location! I initially thought getting to Bashamichi Station would be complicated, requiring a transfer to a bus or JR at Yokohama Station, but once I arrived, I realized I made the right choice! In addition to three Family Mart convenience stores on the ground floor and fourth floor of the hotel, there are at least two supermarkets within a ten-minute walk, and their prices are even lower than those in the basement of larger department stores, which is very considerate for guests. Furthermore, Bashamichi Station is centrally located, with Sakuragicho Station and Motomachi Station both within a 15-minute walk. You can even stroll around, eat, shop, and before you know it, you've walked all the way to Yokohama Station. Plus, with the World Porter Mall nearby, it's definitely a top choice for dining, entertainment, and shopping.

Fantastic 5.0
Super convenient transportation, right next to the railway. Easy to reach with luggage. The sound of the train passing by is not noisy. There is a convenience store and a coffee shop downstairs. Breakfast is arranged directly at the coffee shop, which is great!! Complete amenities are available in the lobby. The hotel is clean and tidy. Staying in a connecting room is very comfortable. A hotel I would like to stay at again next time~!

Fantastic 5.0
The quality of the Richmond Hotel series never disappoints! It's less than a five-minute walk from Yokohama Station, and there's a drugstore and a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs. The hotel offers a wide variety of amenities for guests to pick up themselves, and they even thoughtfully provide charging cables in the rooms if you forget yours! My favorite feature is the Japanese-style bathroom where you can sit down to shower.

check in and out was a breeze. you don’t have to walk by the front desk everytime you go in and out of the hotel. elevator straight to your floor. the staff was friendly and the amenities were top notch. it’s a little bit of a walk from Yokohama station, but the metro station is super close.

Fantastic 5.0
We had a great four-night stay in this hotel, which stands out for its spaciousness compared to typical, more cramped accommodations. The property was impeccably clean and well-organized, featuring a dedicated floor for laundry, a microwave, and complimentary ice, alongside the added convenience of a vending machine on every floor. While the bathroom was functional and clean, the space there was a bit limited compared to the otherwise roomy layout. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and we appreciated the flexibility of being allowed an early check-in for a nominal fee.

Great 4.0
Even though I had selected the correct number of guests and the breakfast-included plan, upon check-in, I was informed that breakfast for children still cost an additional 1200 JPY. The accommodation plan did not clearly state that breakfast was only included for two adults (even after I had specified the child's age, the available plans still appeared). This detail significantly diminished my experience.

What to know before visiting Yokohama

Quick snapshot of Yokohama’s attractions and seasonality

Yokohama serves up a mix of popular day tours, museum visits and family-friendly water park and observation-deck experiences, with tours and cultural spots leading booking volume. Demand rises and falls noticeably through the year, so the city’s busiest periods contrast sharply with quiet months.

Best months to visit and how prices behave

According to Klook booking data, demand peaks in December while August is the quietest month. Prices move differently to demand: Klook data show November is typically the cheapest month for activities, while August is typically the priciest. That means the busiest month (December) does not coincide with the absolute lowest prices—travellers seeking smaller crowds and lower costs should aim for November or other shoulder months, whereas visitors after a lively, peak-season atmosphere will prefer December.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Malaysian travellers typically book about four days ahead, with some people securing reservations earlier (around 18 days) for peace of mind. If your trip is flexible you can often book activities a few days out, but plan a little earlier for travel during the December peak or for high-demand tours; use Klook to lock in tickets and time slots in advance when you want certainty.
