Great 4.0
Convenient Transportation: It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel, which is a walkable distance. Breakfast: Perhaps because the hotel can accommodate many guests, the restaurant has two separate areas with identical food selections, making it convenient for guests. The variety of food is similar to what you'd find in typical three- or four-star hotels in Europe. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was acceptable. The bathroom was a bit small, but it clearly looked recently renovated and very clean. I'm not sure if the room had air conditioning, as I couldn't find a switch or remote. However, during my two-night stay, perhaps because the evening temperatures in the UK are still a bit cool, the room never felt stuffy.

Great 4.0
The staff were friendly and the breakfast facilities were great (lots of tables and a good breakfast selection). The location was great, with nearby bars and restaurants. Tube stations nearby. Room was basic but clean. Would have liked a bathmat for the floor. There was a fan in the room and the window opened a little which helped with the warm weather. The only negative was how warm the room was. It was baking hot with no AC. Which is why we removed 1 star. Would i stay here again? Definitely. While out exploring, I would recommend opening the window, opening the curtains and keeping the fan on. This should hopefully help with the temperature.

Great 4.0
12 minute walk from King’s Cross station although it felt like a lifetime in this heatwave. Hotel doesn’t have air conditioning but they did provide a fan. Breakfast was ok, but no fried eggs but a ton of scrambled instead. Sausages weren’t the best and stay away from the orange juice, very weak. Apple juice was good though.

Fantastic 5.0
Although the lights weren't working upon check-in, the maintenance department followed up very quickly. Later, the circuit breaker tripped, which I believe is a local UK power load issue. Overall, the air conditioning was sufficient, it was clean, there was no musty smell, and the staff were proactive and enthusiastic.

More about London hotels

What staying in London feels like

Staying in London spans a wide price range — the top hotels run about five times pricier than the most affordable options — so you can opt for tight-budget economy rooms or splurge on very premium stays. The best balance for value sits in the premium tier, where nightly rates typically hit the sweet spot between comfort and cost.

How hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy rooms are the most affordable choice and suit travellers prioritising cost over extras. Standard rooms step up modestly in comfort and work well for most travellers who want a bit more space without a large price jump. The premium tier is the standout value and represents the biggest sensible upgrade for those seeking noticeably better accommodation without leaping to the top end. Moving from premium to luxury is the largest price leap — that final jump suits travellers after a high-end, flagship experience and willing to pay substantially more.

When travellers from Malaysia typically book

For travellers from Malaysia, the priciest month is December and the cheapest month is February; a budget-led trip tends to work best in February when rates are notably lower. Rooms here are usually booked about a month in advance, so you can keep plans fairly flexible but consider locking in bookings earlier if travelling in December.
