Sri Maha Mariamman Temple

The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is particularly vibrant during Hindu festivals like Deepavali and Thaipusam. These times offer a unique cultural experience, but do expect larger crowds. The temple is open daily from 6am to 8.30pm, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

The temple is conveniently located near the Pasar Seni LRT/MRT station, making it easily accessible by public transport. It's also situated next to KL's Chinatown, so you can easily combine your visit with a trip to Petaling Street. Just exit at the Pasar Seni station and walk about 50 meters along Jalan Sultan, then turn left into Jalan Tun H. S. Lee.

As a place of worship, it's important to dress modestly when visiting Sri Maha Mariamman Temple. Make sure your shoulders and knees are covered, and remember to remove your shoes before entering the temple premises.

Entrance to the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is free. However, there is a small fee for storing your shoes, as footwear is not allowed inside the temple.

The temple is open from Sundays to Thursdays (6:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm), Fridays (6:00 am to 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm), and Saturdays (6:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm). Hours may vary during festivals.
