I had the best experience with them. They gave me enough suggestions on which type of kimonos and obis would look good on me. They also assisted my husband with his Yakuta. The staff was super friendly inspite of being so busy. They gave me a couple of options for hairstyles and the final one turned out to be so beautiful. I would also want to give a special mention to photographer Paul, who clicked such beautiful pictures and guided us with poses and what to do throughout the entire process. Even the unedited photos were so pretty.

jiang Cheng is the best! She knows a lot of beautiful places to take pictures. Very professional and friendly. she waited for us to be finished for our kimono session. we are family of 4 so it takes time. we love her work for 30 minutes a lot of pictures and different poses with her own props. She also take our pictures at the Yasaka Pagoda so we are comfortable with her already. Highly recommended her!!! :)

The matcha tea ceremony was so fun and informative! Our instructor was kind, knowledgeable, and open to any questions, which made the experience engaging. I love matcha and decided to learn how to make it properly, so I bought their kit with a bowl, whisk, scoop, and more. We explored the art and mindfulness of matcha, and I loved hearing all the fascinating facts. Every step felt intentional and calming, giving me a deeper appreciation for this traditional practice. If you’re a matcha lover, I highly recommend this experience to fully enjoy and appreciate matcha!

The kimono dress up was a very nice experience and we got time to take photos outside before and after the ceremony. The tea ceremony itself was very relaxed and immersive and the staff are very nice and speak good English.

An adorable staff and all very attentive, magnificent kimonos (including one with cat designs), an incredible hairstyle in just a few minutes. Well worth the price even if you don't keep the kimono all day, even if you find something a little cheaper elsewhere I advise you to come here to take your most beautiful photos.

No Sticks, no food! ⸻ An absolutely wonderful chopstick-making workshop in Kyoto! From the moment we arrived, everything was calm, welcoming, and beautifully well-explained. Ryu Kai Soku are outstanding instructors: patient, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their craft. Their guidance is clear and precise, yet always delivered with warmth and good humor. They manage the rare balance of sharing deep traditional know-how while making the experience accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Working with the wood, learning the gestures, and understanding the philosophy behind such a simple yet meaningful object was a real privilege. You don’t just leave with chopsticks — you leave with a story, a skill, and a deep respect for Japanese craftsmanship. Thank you for this memorable experience. This activity was a very good experience. The staff service was excellent. There were many kimono to choose from. We booked the basic set, but it was already very beautiful. If you want a minimalist style, you have to pay extra, and beautiful hairstyles also cost an extra 1650 yen. We added that as well. The hair was done quickly and beautifully. There was someone to help dress us, which was very convenient. They also lend out bags and shoes for free.

We enjoyed learning the respectful culture around a traditional tea ceremony. Her ability to teach us in Japanese and English was great for our group. We even got to experience whisking matcha ourselves. Highly recommend.
