What to expect

After arriving at Freycinet National Park, we set off on a group walk to Wineglass Bay lookout. This moderate 45 minute uphill hike gets the heart pumping before revealing one of the best views in the Southern Hemisphere. Gaze out over treetops to a sweeping vista of white sand and turquoise water; the perfect wine glass shaped bay and the ultimate selfie backdrop.

Depending on how active you’re feeling, you can extend your hike down to the beach for swimming, relaxing and dolphin spotting or return from the lookout with your guide to check out Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay and Cape Tourville Lighthouse.

Our afternoon stop at Devil’s Corner winery is the ideal place to kick back with a glass of wine, fresh seafood platter, woodfired pizza or artisan gelato at the end of a glorious day

Review for: Wineglass Bay and Freycinet Day Tour from Hobart

This trip was excellent, except for the fact that it was a three-hour drive from downtown Hobart. To see the stunning scenery of Wineglass Bay and Honeymoon Bay, you need to hike up a mountain, which takes about an hour round trip. While not terribly difficult, it might be challenging for those over 70. From the top, we enjoyed a panoramic view of Wineglass Bay and Honeymoon Bay. Afterwards, we rested at Honeymoon Bay and enjoyed a boxed lunch. (The guide gave us time to stop at a small shop early in the day to buy lunch sandwiches.) It was a short but peaceful time, watching the locals swim and swim. At the final winery, we were given about 30 minutes, so my partner and I did a sampler tasting, which was a good choice. We happened to see a wallaby during the trip, which was nice. As a non-English speaker, I couldn't understand much of the story, but I was satisfied with just being able to visit each location. I also commend the guide for his comprehensive explanation of Tasmania.

Although we did have to climb a little mountain, the view after we got tired was very good. Even if we didn't climb to the end, the view was still very good, so we were able to choose not to push ourselves. There were also frequent toilet breaks, so it was a stress-free tour. The wine and oysters at the winery were also very delicious, making it a very satisfying tour.

be prepared it would be a very long ride (approximately 3.5 hours) but the hike is fun and with fabulous scenery, the hike needs certain fitness because there will be steep steps . The drive and guide Trevor was humourous professional and friendly . and at Devils Corner we can refresh and enjoy some oysters and beer

There are quite some stairways to hike up to reach the summit, not too steep, totally doable. The view is magnificent!! I can’t describe it enough with my limited vocabulary. Heather, our guide, is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

The tour guide Nicolas is very good! He took us to take photos at different attractions📷 and also provided good suggestions so that we decided to visit the beach at Wineglass Bay. What was even more surprising was that he explained a lot of interesting information, which made our trip more enriched and satisfying. Very enthusiastic and professional! I think it is more authentic and worth joining than the Chinese tour! The tours Tasmania tour is highly recommended!

Review for: Wineglass Bay and Freycinet Day Tour from Hobart

The ride to and from the pickup point was quite long, taking several hours. However, it was worth it, as the views and lookouts along the way were beautiful, breathtaking, and truly memorable. The tour guide appeared fit and energetic, but he often made comments that felt not so appropriate, and he seemed rather rushed throughout the tour. On the way back, we had to take a major detour due to a fallen tree accident, which delayed our return until after 7 PM. To his credit, though, the guide was thoughtful enough to personally drop off some fellow travelers at their hotel so they could catch their evening flight. Overall, the trip was worth it. :)

not for the old people because it will require a bit of a hiking to the lookout. if you are good enough to go back and forth 1,000 steps to the wineglass bay, then it is better

We were lucky enough to see wallabies, and our very professional guide led our group of six on about a 45-minute hike. We brought our own lunch and ate it by the sea, where the scenery was beautiful. Afterward, the guide even recommended a place for us to get ice cream.

The first stop was to go to the cafe to buy food supplies, and then went to Cape Tourville, Wineglass Bay, Honeymoon Bay for picnics, and Devils Corner Winery. The tour guide is very familiar with geography and introduced many terrain features and plants along the way. The scenery is beautiful, recommended!
