Things to do in Penghu

The meeting time was 20 minutes before departure, scheduled for 7:40 AM, but we actually departed at 8:00 AM because we were waiting for a group of tourists. There was a guide on the boat who stayed with us, for example, we'd agree on a time to follow her for a tour, and the service was pretty good. However, on the return trip, there was no commentary about the islands we cruised past! We had 1.5 hours at Dongji Island and 3 hours at Qimei (including self-arranged lunch), which was plenty of time! It was great—the whole island-hopping day trip wasn't expensive, highly recommended! 👍

The scooter is an electric scooter, very small and cramped. You can ride it for about two loops, and there's still enough charge for one more loop. You don't need to stay too long; you can catch the return ferry around 1:00 PM. There are fewer attractions compared to Qimei.

This was such a unique experience! Loved it! I would highly recommend this as an activity to do one evening!

The boat and bus connections were well-coordinated. On such a beautiful island, the scenery you'd see while cycling with the wind in your hair would definitely be different from what you see through a car window. However, traveling with elderly family members, avoiding sun exposure and navigating with maps, made this a more relaxed choice. The time spent on both islands was short, and the tour explanations were a bit concise, making it more of a quick, whirlwind tour.

My first experience night fishing for squid was fantastic! The yacht was new and very comfortable, and they provided detailed instructions on how to fish for squid. The freshly prepared squid noodles on board were delicious, and the brown sugar cake was also tasty. The experience concluded with fresh, raw squid sashimi from our catch, which was a wonderful ending.

Experience: Golden Eight helped us immensely by securing a booking that fit our return schedule. This is my second time on this tour, having first come in late April, and I still think it's an incredible value. I also highly recommend our island-hopping captain 🩷 for their professional explanations. They even took us on a cruise around the island, showing us different perspectives of Mudouyu, and we visited the beautiful sand spit at Jibei Island. They kept reminding us that rain was coming in a few minutes and told us to quickly find shelter 😂

wonderful experience, not very crowded on the boat although really crowded at the jetty, watching fireworks at such a near distance is a new.

We were delighted to join the Deyu Yacht "Penghu Island Hopping Day Tour." Our Group B tour guide provided detailed introductions to Penghu's local customs and history, and proactively helped our group take photos. On the return trip, the terns, who seemed to be eagerly awaiting our arrival, offered a lively and interesting experience as we fed them small fish for an afternoon snack. We give a five-star recommendation to Deyu Yacht! The cabin and restrooms were clean and tidy, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The itinerary was well-planned and the timing was perfectly managed.

This was my third visit to the Penghu Aquarium. From the ticket counter outside the entrance in the past, to the automatic ticket machines inside the entrance later on, buying tickets through KLOOK is still the most convenient, fastest, and most cost-effective option. Children under six years old get in for free, but you need to show identification for verification. Just present your KLOOK purchase voucher at the service desk, and after confirmation by the staff, you can enter directly, avoiding the queue for tickets. KLOOK is truly convenient! The fish in the aquarium are getting plumper and healthier. You can tell some of the fish are quite old, spending more time resting than actively swimming. They only get really excited and swim around before the feeding show, which indicates the aquarium takes excellent care of its fish. The stingrays are also getting bigger; one alone takes up a third of the large ocean tank's glass. During the feeding show, I only saw the greedy stingrays plastered against the glass, vying for the best spot. The divers even had to lure the stingrays away so we could see the other fish being fed.
