Things to do in Penghu

The meeting time was 20 minutes before departure, scheduled for 7:40 AM, but we actually departed at 8:00 AM because we were waiting for a group of tourists. There was a guide on the boat who stayed with us, for example, we'd agree on a time to follow her for a tour, and the service was pretty good. However, on the return trip, there was no commentary about the islands we cruised past! We had 1.5 hours at Dongji Island and 3 hours at Qimei (including self-arranged lunch), which was plenty of time! It was great—the whole island-hopping day trip wasn't expensive, highly recommended! 👍

wonderful experience, not very crowded on the boat although really crowded at the jetty, watching fireworks at such a near distance is a new.

We were delighted to join the Deyu Yacht "Penghu Island Hopping Day Tour." Our Group B tour guide provided detailed introductions to Penghu's local customs and history, and proactively helped our group take photos. On the return trip, the terns, who seemed to be eagerly awaiting our arrival, offered a lively and interesting experience as we fed them small fish for an afternoon snack. We give a five-star recommendation to Deyu Yacht! The cabin and restrooms were clean and tidy, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The itinerary was well-planned and the timing was perfectly managed.

This was my third visit to the Penghu Aquarium. From the ticket counter outside the entrance in the past, to the automatic ticket machines inside the entrance later on, buying tickets through KLOOK is still the most convenient, fastest, and most cost-effective option. Children under six years old get in for free, but you need to show identification for verification. Just present your KLOOK purchase voucher at the service desk, and after confirmation by the staff, you can enter directly, avoiding the queue for tickets. KLOOK is truly convenient! The fish in the aquarium are getting plumper and healthier. You can tell some of the fish are quite old, spending more time resting than actively swimming. They only get really excited and swim around before the feeding show, which indicates the aquarium takes excellent care of its fish. The stingrays are also getting bigger; one alone takes up a third of the large ocean tank's glass. During the feeding show, I only saw the greedy stingrays plastered against the glass, vying for the best spot. The divers even had to lure the stingrays away so we could see the other fish being fed.

Someone on our boat caught two small fish. We thought we wouldn't catch anything, but now we can even add them to our meal! Their sashimi from the small fish is incredibly delicious and sweet, and the rice noodles are also tasty; the captain cooked them perfectly. Plus, there's brown sugar cake for us to enjoy two pieces of when we leave. Watching the fireworks on the boat was beautiful, but it was a bit too quiet. It really needed some music.

The scooter is an electric scooter, very small and cramped. You can ride it for about two loops, and there's still enough charge for one more loop. You don't need to stay too long; you can catch the return ferry around 1:00 PM. There are fewer attractions compared to Qimei.

This was such a unique experience! Loved it! I would highly recommend this as an activity to do one evening!

The guided tour helped us learn more about the lighthouse's history, making it a worthwhile visit. **Water Activities Were Super Fun** Snorkeling, SUP, banana boat, and other activities were all included. The instructors were professional and humorous, and safety measures were well in place. The water was crystal clear, and we saw so many tropical fish; the underwater scenery was truly stunning! We had an absolute blast with the water activities and it was completely worth the trip. **High Degree of Freedom on the Island** After renting a scooter, we could leisurely explore Qibei Island, enjoying the white sand beaches, fishing village charm, and seafood snacks at our own pace. The feeling of not being rushed was fantastic. Riding the scooter on the beach at sunset with the breeze was incredibly romantic! Overall, this itinerary offers excellent value for money, including ferry tickets, scooter rental, water activities, and the lighthouse tour. It covers all the main highlights in one go, so you don't have to run around organizing things yourself.
