Join the Toledo and Segovia tour, which includes admission tickets to the Alcazar and Segovia Cathedral. It also features an optional traditional Spanish roast suckling pig lunch (can be added later) and a stop to visit the city of Avila. Departure is at 07:30 AM. The tour guide, JJ, was extremely informative and provided very substantive commentary. Upon arriving in Toledo, the bus stops for panoramic photos before heading into the city for a walking tour. Because we had to mind the schedule, it felt a bit rushed. We stopped at a souvenir shop to watch a craftsman demonstration (no pressure to buy) and use the restroom. After that, we headed to Segovia to see the aqueduct, followed by lunch around 2:00 PM. (If visiting on a weekday, I think you could skip the meal-inclusive option and easily dine at regular restaurant prices instead.) Next, we visited the Segovia Cathedral and then the Alcazar. Finally, we stopped to see Avila, starting with a panoramic viewpoint as usual, followed by a city walk. The guide provided great information the entire time, which was wonderful. Once finished, we returned to Madrid around 8:30 PM. It was a truly worthwhile day that covered all the highlights. However, I recommend keeping in mind that this tour involves a lot of walking. Some areas are sloped or have uneven surfaces, so you should wear shoes and clothing suitable for extensive walking. Since the tour moves at a fairly fast pace, elderly travelers with limited mobility may want to reconsider.

Group size: about fifteen people? However, everyone was equipped with headphones, so they could hear clearly. Tour guide: Very responsible, gave a great explanation, and shared many stories about Spanish history with us.

I joined the full-day tour to Segovia, which allowed plenty of time to explore at a leisurely pace. Everyone else was on the afternoon trip to Toledo 😎; I was the only one in the whole group staying in Segovia the entire day. The tour guide did mention that the half-day option is quite rushed. I just had the mindset that I will probably never visit a second time in my life, so I wanted to slowly take in every little corner. I found it very relaxing and comfortable.

The museum itself is very new and clean, with spacious corridors that make for a comfortable visit. Some exhibition rooms have chairs, so you can sit and rest if you get tired. The tour guide was very professional, arriving early to wait for us, and was very friendly and humorous. Their explanations were lively, often involving animated gestures and a loud voice (they even got told off by the museum staff for being too loud 😂), like telling a story to children, which was very entertaining. They were also very familiar with the museum's layout, ensuring no repeated routes. The entire guided tour lasted over two hours, and I myself stayed for another two hours (and still didn't see everything). If you want to explore thoroughly, you should plan for 3 to 5 hours, or even longer. After entering and clearing security, remember to pick up a tour brochure first; it will help you locate important works when you explore on your own.
