Reviews
The tour guide's introduction was very clear, allowing us to understand the background of different famous paintings. It is highly recommended.
The museum itself is very new and clean, with spacious corridors that make for a comfortable visit. Some exhibition rooms have chairs, so you can sit and rest if you get tired. The tour guide was very professional, arriving early to wait for us, and was very friendly and humorous. Their explanations were lively, often involving animated gestures and a loud voice (they even got told off by the museum staff for being too loud 😂), like telling a story to children, which was very entertaining. They were also very familiar with the museum's layout, ensuring no repeated routes. The entire guided tour lasted over two hours, and I myself stayed for another two hours (and still didn't see everything). If you want to explore thoroughly, you should plan for 3 to 5 hours, or even longer. After entering and clearing security, remember to pick up a tour brochure first; it will help you locate important works when you explore on your own.
the qr was very seamless, it let us get through the checkpoint fast. no hassle. would definitely recommend it
my guide was superb in his ability to explain very clearly-the evolution of paintings over the years, what the painter might be trying to convey, what the painter's circumstances were at the time, influences on other works by painters who saw these paintings.
I had an enjoyable time at the Prado Museum! The museum is huge, so it's impossible to finish viewing everything in a day. My tour guide was knowledgeable; his explanation of the paintings really helped me to understand and appreciate the works of the artists. Highly recommend!
The Prado Museum is really good, and the tour guides explain it in detail. There are many famous paintings by Goya, Velasquez and Rubens. I like the Las Meninas by Velasquez the most. I really like it. This painting is definitely not to be missed!
Highly recommended! Irina is very knowledgeable and patient. The group is small!!! There were only six of us! Prado museum is like a maze -- I can't imagine going through it without a guide. A must-do in Madrid!
The tour guide is very thorough and will take you to see the main pieces in the museum. The meeting point is also very easy to find, making it ideal for travelers who want to visit the museum efficiently.
The Prado Museum is an art palace that cannot be missed in Madrid. It houses many masterpieces by Spanish and European masters, such as Velázquez, Goya and Rubens. The exhibition layout is reasonable and the guided tour is rich in information, which makes people deeply feel the charm of art and the weight of history. The tour experience is excellent and highly recommended to art lovers.
Had a good experience with Amigo Tours. The museum and collection is too big for a 2 hour tour, however the condensed version brings you to the main paintings and leave you with insights on history.
