Akoya Pearl Harvesting Experience (Osaka)
- A precious experience event where you can extract a pearl from a Japanese Akoya pearl oyster with your own hands and take it home.
- Choose your own oyster and open it using a plastic knife.
- Anyone from children to adults can easily enjoy this, regardless of age or gender.
- You can also have your one-of-a-kind pearl made into an accessory! *Accessory fees are separate.
- Our staff will create it on the spot, so please enjoy shell painting in the meantime.
- You can take your accessory home with you on the same day.
What to expect
Pearls are created by Akoya oysters over many years. Deformities (non-spherical shapes) and uneven coloration may occur, but these are part of the charm of Akoya oysters created by nature, and we do not offer exchanges for the reasons mentioned above.
We allow our customers to select the Akoya oyster from which they will extract their pearl from among a number of Akoya oysters. It's a style where you can look forward to seeing what kind of pearl you'll get.

It was ab eye opener to extract the pearl from the oyster! and the size was decent! about 6mm! made the pearl into a necklace! its really beautiful and one in the world! definitely a limited edition! worth it! highly recommend for everyone!
We had a great time with the pearl harvest and ring-making activity. Harvesting our own pearl and turning it into a beautiful ring was such a unique experience. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!
very intimate and engaging session..interesting and pearls are amazing..we popped next door for a macha while he mounted our pearls in a necklace setting
Rare chance to havest your own pearl. Randomly pick one oystal to open: unpredictability is part of the charm, fun and excitement to discover pearl of various size and colour. Choice of making it as accessories like rings: earrings, pendants or keychain.
I absolutely loved this experience! The whole appointment was quick, easy, and really fun. The girl running it doesn’t speak much English, but she tries so hard to communicate, and she’s super sweet. I came with three people, and just know it costs a little extra to turn your pearl into jewelry or to open a second one if you want matching earrings—but I was giving it as a gift to my mom, and it was totally worth it. Bring some cash to make things go more smoothly. She shows you all the pearl colors you might get, and I was lucky enough to pull the same color for my earrings! It felt like winning a mini lottery. It’s such a cute activity—she even takes free Polaroid pictures of you and lets you doodle on the clam as a keepsake. A really quick, fun, memorable stop!
Sweet salesperson who did their best to explain in English. It was fun to find a pearl, and of course, it makes you want to try again. It only took about an hour. Regards, Eva
First time to harvest a pearl, which was a fun experience. The shop owner was lovely and friendly. I would recommend this to pearl lovers out there.
A good experience, harvest the Pearl in a simple way. Additional charges for any additional harvest for 2nd pearl onwards. Additional charges for the bracelet and necklace.. in within ¥8 to ¥10k. Overall, is something different you can do on Osaka.
Owner was very friendly and inviting. Could enhance the experience by sharing more about pearls to make it interesting. The experience can be quite fast, if you are not making it into an accessory. My son love it though.
This was such a fun experience and so cool you get to pick the oyster and find the pearl yourself! I especially loved the option to turn your pearl into an accessory! Also the staff was so nice, helpful, and kind. Would definitely book again!
