Fantastic 5.0
All good except that the room is a little dusty. Because I have sinusitis and sensitive to dust, I kept sneezing. One other feedback is there should be disposable slippers in the room as the floor is partially concrete and it gets very cold in winter. The staff at the reception are nice and friendly.

Fantastic 5.0
Choosing a hotel in Melbourne's CBD (Central Business District) offers the ultimate advantage: unparalleled convenience! You'll not only benefit from the Free Tram Zone, making it easy to reach major attractions and hidden laneway cafes, but also enjoy an unbeatable selection of nearby restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping. While real estate in the city center is premium, often leading to higher room rates and smaller rooms, the time and energy saved on transportation are absolutely worth it. For first-time visitors to Melbourne or travelers who prefer a lively and convenient location, the CBD is definitely the top choice for exploring this vibrant, culture-rich city!

Literally at the center of everything. Close to tram station, it’s also beside bettys burger. There are so manu convenience store and chemist warehouse nearby and the exciting part is it’s so near the flinders street and station! The breakfast is also okay, the rooms are clean. Perfect stay overall!

Fantastic 5.0
I booked a twin room, and the official website showed standard photos. However, I was very disappointed to be given a twin room with an accessible bathroom upon arrival. I immediately went to the front desk to address this. The staff was very helpful, but unfortunately, that was the only room left. They offered to upgrade me to a room with a kitchen for an additional 10 AUD and specially arranged to split the large bed into two smaller beds. So, we agreed to the room change. Therefore, those booking a twin room might want to consider this.

Fantastic 5.0
I had a wonderful stay at Pegasus Apart’Hotel and would happily stay here again! The room was cleaned daily, always smelled fresh, and was equipped with useful amenities such as a microwave, kettle, kitchen utensils, and a mini refrigerator, making my stay very comfortable. Housekeeping regularly changed the towels and linens, made the bed, and refilled toiletries. A few times some coffee sachets were missed, but reception quickly sent refills when requested. I was especially impressed by the staff’s responsiveness. When my hair dryer broke, I called reception and someone came to check it immediately and provided a replacement. The Wi-Fi was stable throughout my stay, and every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and helpful. Although the view from my room wasn’t quite what I expected, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so comfortable and memorable. I will definitely be booking with you again the next time I return.

Fantastic 5.0
The location is convenient and close to the city center. It's a 3-minute walk to Victoria Market, and getting to other attractions in the city center is just as quick and easy. The room is excellent and spacious. The bedroom, bathroom, and living room all feel very roomy. There's also a dining table, microwave, and refrigerator for preparing simple meals. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

What to know before visiting Melbourne

What to do in Melbourne throughout the year

Melbourne’s strongest draws are guided Tours, Zoos & aquariums and Museums, followed by Outdoor & sports activities and Historical sites, according to Klook booking data. Demand rises and falls through the year: Klook bookings show a clear high in August and a very quiet trough in February, so the city alternates between festival-like peaks and calm shoulder months. If you prefer buzzing streets and full-programme cultural offerings, plan for the busier late-winter to spring months; choose whether to visit for lively peak atmosphere or quieter, more flexible timing. All figures quoted are based on Klook booking data.

Best months to visit and how prices move

Klook booking data flags August as the busiest month (Peak demand) while February is the quietest (Very quiet). Prices across the last 12 months rise into January and August before drifting down to their low in March; the busiest months and priciest months sometimes coincide, but there are months where demand and price diverge — September is busier without matching January’s top price, and October shows busier demand with lower typical prices than January. For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider March and the quieter shoulder months; for peak-season atmosphere, aim for August and January.

Month Demand Level Typical Price
January About average HKD 834
February Very quiet HKD 515
March Quieter than usual HKD 335
April Quieter than usual HKD 421
May About average HKD 499
June Quieter than usual HKD 515
July Quieter than usual HKD 678
August Peak demand HKD 749
September Busier than usual HKD 671
October Busier than usual HKD 421
November About average HKD 780
December Busier than usual HKD 608

Demand is bookings in that month compared with a typical month, from historical Klook booking data, grouped into the demand levels above; typical price is the median paid on Klook in that month; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, July 2025 – June 2026.

Where to stay by typical nightly price

Klook booking data shows North Melbourne as the most affordable district with a typical nightly rate around HKD 671, while East Melbourne is the priciest at about HKD 1,731, a gap of roughly 61% between them. The more affordable end tends to suit budget-conscious travellers and those happy to prioritise cost over boutique comforts, offering simpler stays for daytime sightseeing. The pricier end suits travellers after higher-end rooms and a more premium neighbourhood feel, where hotels command higher nightly rates. These Klook figures reflect past bookings and typical nightly prices on the platform.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Bookings on Klook tend to be made close to travel dates: most travellers typically book around 3 days ahead, while the earliest planners go about 15 days out, according to platform-wide advance booking data. That means you can often stay flexible and secure last-minute experiences a day or two before travel, but during the peak months identified above it pays to reserve earlier. Use Klook to lock in timed activities and tours when you spot a good date, and check prices for March and other quieter months if you want lower typical prices — all figures referenced are from Klook booking data.
