Room was small but overall, think it’s the perfect room for travellers who seldom spend time in the room. The receptionist was sooo friendly, definitely made our stay not stressful. Location is great as well, it is right opposite the ross fountain and right beside urban outfitters. All in all i enjoyed this room despite it being small with no windows, and no elavators.

Very interesting and fun experience! All thanks to our guide, Monica, who was very energetic and enthusiastic, making the experience very enjoyable. We learnt more about chocolates, had our try in making our own, and tasting various types of chocolate. No transfer provided though.

What to know before visiting Edinburgh

Quick snapshot of City of Edinburgh

City of Edinburgh attracts bookings mainly for tours, historical sites and attraction passes, with a year that swings between a very busy summer and much quieter winter months. Demand peaks in August and hits a low in March, so the rhythm of the year moves from lively festival-season months to a much calmer off-season.

Best times to visit and how prices behave

August is the peak month for demand, while March is the trough, and demand is noticeably higher across late spring and summer. Prices, however, don’t follow demand exactly: Klook data shows October typically has the highest prices, whereas November is usually the cheapest month. If you want smaller crowds and lower prices, consider travelling in November or March when demand is low and prices trend down; if you want peak-season atmosphere and the festival buzz, aim for August but expect higher demand and mixed price patterns.

Tips for travellers from Hong Kong

Many travellers from Hong Kong book experiences roughly two weeks ahead on average, with some locking in plans even earlier; this makes basic planning useful, especially for travel during August. For shorter, flexible trips you can still find last-minute options a day out, but for popular dates book earlier on Klook to improve your chances of securing tours and passes.
