The value for money is excellent. We were immediately served a huge seafood platter. Although it had Thai elements, I found the seafood to be fresh. Considering it included sashimi, bread crab, king crab, clams, and fresh shrimp, it was quite good; we ate for over an hour and still couldn't finish all the seafood. As for the cooked dishes, there was plenty, especially the clear soup noodles and the Thai-style stir-fried clams, which were both delicious. My only regret was not being able to try the Thai lettuce wraps today because too many people ordered them, and there was a long wait. In the end, the chef got injured, so I gave up. Their durian desserts and ice cream were also very good. I especially want to commend their ample staff. The waitstaff were polite and attentive, especially Alice, who provided excellent service. There was also a tall, young male waiter who was always smiling and served the foreign guests next to us very well. Good service really adds a lot to the experience. I will definitely come again.
Last night, I had dinner with former colleagues. The restaurant was spacious, with a comfortable interior and upscale decor, offering a sea view from the window. The food quality was excellent. We received a complimentary platter of chilled seafood, and there was also an impressive selection of chilled seafood available, including bread crab, snow crab legs, mussels, and shrimp. I especially recommend the piping hot Matsutake mushroom and chicken stewed soup 😋, the crispy on the outside and tender on the inside beef flank steak 🥩, fish maw and shrimp roe noodles, peach gum tofu pudding, Hong Kong-style egg waffles, eight flavors of gelato 😋, and various Southeast Asian dishes. 💁🏻♂️ The restaurant staff continuously cleared plates and folded napkins for guests, and 🧑🏻🍳 the chefs replenished food when they saw it was running low. Their impeccable service is truly commendable; we felt right at home. I highly recommend this place for gatherings.
The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!
Tonight's cold dishes include lobster, mussels, shrimp, abalone, clams... The lobster is especially delicious 😋😋😋. Be sure to drink the stew, it’s full of ingredients. The roast beef maintains its standard, plus roast pork belly, which is super delicious and a must-try 😜. The Western-style onion beef tenderloin was unexpectedly delicious, Yummy, remember to try it. The salad bar has olive oil and vinegar, making the salad taste exceptionally good. The ambiance of the Big Bay Cafe buffet at the Kerry Hotel is unbeatable. It's much more comfortable than Kowloon Shangri-La and Island Shangri-La, with a comfortable environment and very satisfactory service attitude 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I will definitely come again next time I have time 😌.
Excellent services and variety of food. much better than I expected and the staff works well as a team. Keep it up! I don't know whyt someone here still say their experience is not good. Luckily, I experienced myself and I don't fully trust the comment left.
The hotel arranged a window seat for us, and as soon as we sat down, a seafood platter was served, featuring flower crab, abalone, scallops, and king crab legs. There was unlimited red and white wine, beer, and canned Coke and Sprite. Outside, there were also lobsters, sashimi, conch, and more, perfect for seafood lovers.
The ambiance is comfortable, and while the food selection isn't vast, it's well-curated. The ham choices are particularly good. The king crab was a bit bland. The conch was very large, making it worth another visit. The sashimi was absolutely delicious, and it was thickly sliced, offering a fantastic texture. The salmon belly and yellowtail were incredibly fresh and delicious.
The restaurant boasts a spacious and comfortable environment with an unbeatable view of the sea. The service is exceptionally friendly. The buffet dinner offers a wide variety of food, and the seafood and sashimi are very fresh. Soft drinks are unlimited, and each guest receives a generous bowl of fish maw and conch soup, as well as a hairy crab.
I've been a customer many times, and every time I feel it's worth the price. The food maintains its standard. For dinner, I continued to indulge in the springy lobster. This time, the taro paste pancake and Chinese-style beef tenderloin were surprisingly good. The service is as attentive as ever. I mentioned celebrating a birthday last minute, and they even provided a mini cake. Of course, it's best to make a reservation.
Korean chef-led buffet. From the restaurant entrance to the seating, the ambiance gives a sense of being in Korea. Upon being seated, side dishes are already placed, along with sake and Korean rice wine. Korean BBQ is served per table, along with seaweed rice rolls, ginseng chicken, Korean porridge, Korean beef hamburger steak, beef short ribs, and budae jjigae (army stew).
