We had buffet dinner in end October 2025. The restaurant maintained it's food and service quality. Steak was good this time, my favorites were self-serve sashimi, desserts and assorted fruits with huge grapes.
The variety of food options is extensive. The staff provided excellent service; when I was looking for food, an employee enthusiastically offered recommendations, which was very thoughtful. Our seats were by the window, offering a view of the sunset, and the overall ambiance was wonderful! They even provided a complimentary birthday cake, which could be personalized with a message, and came with candles for making a wish. The price was also very reasonable.
- A group of 8 people, the buy-one-get-one-free discount made it an excellent experience. The food was fresh and diverse, and the guests leisurely selected and ate beside the delicacies. The on-site environment was comfortable, accompanied by a beautiful sunset view, and beautiful Christmas decorations. The staff was very polite and the service was attentive. The only thing was that there were no raw oysters, only baked oysters. They might have been too thin, so they were turned into baked ones. The disadvantage was that a group of more than fifteen men at the next table were talking loudly and chatting, but since it was a holiday, I had to put up with it and let them have fun. I will patronize again next time 😁
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, there's a buy-one-get-one-free offer plus a credit card discount – it's an amazing deal! The food is fresh, with plump oysters, king crab, lobster, and unlimited red and white sparkling wine. In the middle of the meal, there are limited servings of fish maw soup dumplings, which are delicious. The staff frequently clear plates and refill drinks, and they are very polite. You can call ahead to reserve a window seat to watch the sunset, which creates a wonderful atmosphere.
The price is a bit high, but drinks are all-you-can-drink, there are many food options, and the dining environment is comfortable. The oysters, sashimi, and fruit are very fresh. Meal type: Buffet
A table by the window was arranged for us as requested. The atmosphere was relaxed as it was neither too busy nor crowded. The staff, like Kevin, were particularly commendable; they were all friendly and helpful. Kevin brought to us a cake with a lit candle to celebrate my birthday, and he offered to take photos of us. As for food, variety could be improved, but we liked the homemade gelato very much.
The W Hotel has always been a high-quality, five-star international hotel. To celebrate a friend's birthday, we decided to spend our money in Hong Kong. Although I considered the Marriott in Shenzhen, I ultimately chose the W Hotel because it has consistently left a great impression on me since its opening. First, I'd like to commend Nicole, the receptionist. She was extremely responsible, friendly, and patiently confirmed our booking while providing helpful information. Regarding the food, the selection isn't vast, but most items are high quality, especially the pink shrimp, salmon, baked mussels with cheese, and fresh oysters, which were plentiful. We also enjoyed the free-flow red and white wine, and even Brut! The quality was good for the price, as I've experienced some hotels where the free-flow options can be incredibly bad. As for the floor service, I found it wasn't quite as good as the chefs in the buffet kitchen. I must commend one staff member named Jerry; his service was excellent, and he had a very good attitude with a smiling face. However, on that day, it seemed there were no RMs in the restaurant, only one supervisor whose service was mediocre. He was unhelpful and had a long face. I remember his name is Sam, and he really should have a better attitude. Last but not least, the sunset was wonderful.
My dinner buffet experience at the Kitchen, W Hong Kong was… so so…. just a few days ago, W called me they could not provide lobsters, but changed to bread crabs and abalone. What? My preference was loysters, What’s the point I book it? I asked for cancelling my booking, but the staff asked me to check with KLook, but she reminded they have the final rights to change the menu without prior notice. Sigh!!!!! Ok, we continued our booking. The services are quite good, proactive and helpful staff, unlimitedly refilled of white wine and red wine. great! For the food quality… actually not the grade for a 5-star hotel that I expected… I felt their standards were decreasing by comparing my previous dining experience at the kitchen some years ago. Oysters ok, hot food ok, desserts… quite HK street styles …. Cheap! Their home-made gelato (packed in small cups) looked like dairy farm ice cream, not the texture for gelato ! Final feedback… not value for money.
Food and beverage is good, especially the grilled lumb chop, lobster and oyster. Pairing with wines is fantastic.
The staff are nice and polite. The buffet has so many variety of food and the food is fresh and tasty. Enjoy the delicious food under a cozy environment is very good. Chatting with friends is great with relaxation there. Will go again in the near future.
