What to expect
【Hokkaido has a blue called "Shakotan Blue"】
●【Shakotan Peninsula・Cape Kamui】 Known for its towering cliffs and breathtaking sea views, it is a representative coastal scenic spot in Hokkaido. Walking along the trail to the tip of the cape, you can admire the transparent sea, known as “Shakotan Blue,” and the unique rock formations along the coast, creating a magnificent and stunning landscape. ※ The “Gate of No Return” at Cape Kamui may be temporarily closed due to safety factors such as strong winds, weather conditions, or bear sightings. In such cases, the time spent at other attractions will be adjusted or additional nearby attractions will be added.
●【Shimamui Coast】 Listed as one of “Japan’s 100 Best Sea Views,” after passing through a tunnel, you can admire the dreamy scenery created by the gradient blue bay and cliffs, making it the most representative natural hidden gem of the Shakotan Peninsula.
●【Blue Cave】 Take a boat tour to explore the mysterious sea cave. Sunlight shining on the sea surface creates a magical blue glow, and the scenery is particularly enchanting on clear days. During the summer season, you can also experience feeding seagulls and enjoy the maritime scenery of Hokkaido up close. ※ If the weather is poor, the route may be adjusted to 30 minutes. As it is a pre-booked tour, the fee remains unchanged. ※ In case of severe weather such as strong winds or heavy rain, the boat tour will be suspended. In such cases, the time spent at the Blue Cave will be extended to the last attraction - Otaru Canal. The actual arrangements will be based on the on-site announcement of the day.
●【Otaru Canal】 Stroll along the exotic Otaru Canal, admire the historic red brick warehouses and retro streetscapes. In the evening, you may even encounter the romantic scenery of the sunset reflecting on the canal. ※ Travelers who do not participate in the Blue Cave boat tour will be arranged for free time at Otaru Canal.
●【Free Lunch】 You can freely enjoy local delicacies such as seafood bowls, Japanese set meals, and ramen around Cape Kamui; or head to Otaru shopping street to enjoy desserts and specialty snacks. ※ Lunch expenses are at your own discretion.

The trip was so worth it! It was such a beautiful and memorable sightseeing trip that I don’t think I’ll ever forget. Danny, our tour guide, was very polite and organised, which made the whole trip a breeze. Do remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, as Cape Kamui can be quite a hike. But don’t let that scare you! The views along the way and at the end are absolutely stunning and make every step worth it. I highly recommend this trip if you’re a nature and scenery lover. Definitely one of the highlights of my time in Hokkaido ❤️🔥
We had an amazing time with this tour package, the pacing/duration of itinerary is just perfect for each location - we didnt feel rushed. Cape Kamui and Cape Shakotan are both breath-taking. Lily is also great, she’s very friendly and energetic, and always willing to take the extra mile to make her guests happy, everyone loves her. Thanks Lily, you’re such a charming guide.
We had an enjoyable day trip with our guide, Lily. She is helpful and friendly. We had the luxury of having a big and comfortable bus catered to us. Although we don’t know one another in the tour our punctuality is excellent. Thank you Lily once again. We will join the tour again when we have come to Hokkaido.
Otaru is a very famous town and the historical origin of the canal, but the highlight of this trip is Kamui Gorge. The sight glass is really great, especially when the weather is good, the photos are beautiful. I highly recommend everyone to come and play. It takes about an hour to go back and forth to Shenwei Gorge, but if you have seniors, it may take a little longer because of the up and down climbs and downhills along the hills, but overall it is very comfortable😌 and you have to take the time to take photos, really It's spectacular. After that, we will go to the Shimabuyi Coast. Because there have been bears recently, we can’t go down to the bottom, which is a bit disappointing. We can only have lunch here and take a few photos before leaving. The tour guide recommends the sea urchin rice here, which is relatively It’s much cheaper, so tourists can try it. Later we went to Otaru Canal Town. If you like shopping, you will love it. There are many small shops. However, we don’t like shopping very much, so the wait was a bit long. I suggest you go to the Music Box Museum at the meeting point to take pictures. The lighting is beautiful. , there are also many music boxes to listen to, and overall they are highly recommended.
My friends and I really enjoyed the trip. We thanked the driver and our skillful tour guide, Xiang Xiang (who was also good at taking photos), for doing such an excellent job throughout the journey.
Our driver and tour guide, Mr zhou, is friendly and knowlegeable. He is able to provide info about the various places we visited.
We went to Cape Kamui and Otaru on the 24th. The weather was very good and the scenery was beautiful. The car was spacious and comfortable. We passed Cape Golden Cape on the way. The Chinese tour guide Zhou Zheng and the Japanese driver Yoyu were not only handsome, but also very considerate in service. The introduction of Hokkaido was also very comprehensive. This one-day tour was worth it!
This trip was led by Zhou Dao, and I was very satisfied. Zhou Dao thoughtfully gave us extra time in Cape Kamui and Otaru, and explained the history of Hokkaido, its special food, special fruits, etc. on the bus. He also enthusiastically recommended local restaurants to us. It was a great trip. Recommend this tour to travelers coming to Hokkaido
The tour guide, Mr. Zhou Zheng, introduced the history of Hokkaido and the attractions of today's trip very carefully. He controlled the time very well and was very concerned about the situation of each passenger. The whole trip was great! Although the weather was not good, we did not see the legendary Shakotan Blue. But because I met a great tour guide, I still learned a lot about Hokkaido. I will consider participating next time.
The scenery of the island's Wuyi Coast and Cape Kamui is pleasant, and the sea is blue. It is a good place to take pictures! Otaru's itinerary is a bit rushed, it would be better if the itinerary can last for 2 hours
