This hotel has a great location if you want to get out of some of the hustle and bustle of more touristed areas of Rome. It is just a 6-min walk to the Castro Pretorio metro stop allowing you to take the metro in to various other parts of Rome. It's also around a 15-min walk to Termini. The hotel is located in the midst of many embassies which makes it very safe if over-policed. It is also incredibly quiet. The pool was a wonderful getaway during our hot July visit. Though some reviewers found it to cold, we enjoyed it. The cool temps meant people tended to jump in and out, so that even if there were various guests around the pool, it never felt too busy. Our room had adequate AC and the hotel bar was a beautiful area to spend time. My only complaint is that upon check-in, we were told our child wouldn't count toward the daily tax, but then on check out, we were charged the daily tax for all of us. When I asked about this, the person checking us out didn't really explain the discrepancy or recognize the difference in what they promised vs. what we were charged, and was fairly rude about me asking why there was a a charge when we were told there wouldn't be.

Great

Stayed with kids

Breakfast was great. The reason we’re not giving it a 5 is because we ran into a few issues. The electronics in the room were glitchy. One morning at 5am the lights just turned on and woke us up. Then another night the bed lights flicked on and off in the middle of the night. Another night, the air conditioning didn’t seem to cool us so my kids couldn’t sleep until after midnight bc their room was upstairs and significantly warmer than downstairs. The tv on the main floor also never worked past the welcome screen. We asked to get that fixed but it was never fixed. The pool was great, but too cool for my kids who are spoiled with warm pools. That’s why we booked the hotel. The hotel was very clean and the areas were really nice. The jetted tub in the loft upstairs was a hit with my kids. We didn’t know how to drain it but someone eventually fixed it by removing the drain altogether. Overall, I’m not sure I would stay there again bc it was a bit of a hike from city center. We booked it for the pool but barely used it. For parents looking for pools, maybe look for jetted tubs closer to city center. The tub was the request every night. Hotel staff were also really friendly.

Good

Overall the property is mostly clean except carpeted areas which were very stained. Our room was updated with laminate floor but our 2nd room had carpet and we wouldn't walk on it barefoot. I'm out room there were several broken things like our shower door and a toiletry shelf in the shower. The mattress was rock hard. We did use the spa one night and it provided the appropriate relaxation we were seeking, however, some amenities were not working and there was a broken handrail making it difficult to get out of the pool. Staff were helpful and nice and location near transportation.

Good location, 2nd room was good (first room was without aircon - while outside +42). No organic coffee (you have to ask for it!). Breakfast was very poor. Staff is friendly and polite, however younger receptionist was awkward and needs to learn politeness. Regarding cleaners- Dear management - you need to educate your staff! They coming inside rooms without knocking doors, they doing whatever they want and still ignoring while I am demanding to leave room because I am having shower! Else is ok.

Good

The hotel is located close to a metro stop which was very useful. The outdoor pool is lovely. Our room was spacious and clean with a good sized bathroom. However, the air con did not work and it was 37degrees outside! We were given a fan and, after 2 nights calling down to reception about the problem, we were finally offered a room change for a very comfortable sleep on our last night.

We stayed for 2 nights in June. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to their junior suite. Wonderful panoramic views from the private roof terrace. Jacuzzi bath was a bonus. The hotel was wonderful but slightly out of city centre. If first time travellers to Rome like us we found if difficult to navigate public transport and elected for taxi’s to centre instead.

The hotel is in a good location steps away from Rome Termini. The pool wasn't heated so no reason to advertise it during off season.
