Our guide Tai An provided us with neck pillows as soon as we got in, and the tour was very comfortable. He also gave us very detailed explanations for each place that we visited. Footbath at the end was great as well.

Having visited Osaka many times, I wanted to explore the Kumano Kodo this time, but found that public transportation was both time-consuming and expensive. This tour saved both time and effort, taking us directly to the Three Grand Shrines. The magnificent scenery and sacred nature were breathtaking. The section from Daimonzaka to Nachi Falls also fulfilled my desire for a hike, making it perfect for those who don't usually exercise but still want to enjoy the beauty of Kumano Kodo. Our guide, Toshi Hanazawa, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. As our driver, his driving skills were excellent, allowing us to sleep soundly in the car. Furthermore, after the foot bath, he even provided replacement socks, snacks, and green tea, which was incredibly helpful for us as our feet were completely soaked due to the heavy rain that day. Highly recommended!

Five-star review! Even though it was a cloudy, rainy day, it didn't detract from the beauty of the scenery. Walking along the Kumano Kodo, I gained an appreciation for the arduous journey people once undertook to make their pilgrimage. Passing through the Otorii gate, visiting the shrine, and exploring Japan's traditional sacred religion was truly an experience. The magnificent waterfall and mountain forest views along the way were incredibly beautiful, and the misty fog added an even more mysterious veil to the landscape. Finally, a foot bath helped relieve the day's fatigue, which was very satisfying!

This tour was amazing with the sightseeing! That view with the temple and Nachi falls in the background is the highlight. How ever, you should take few things into account. First you will be spending a lot of time in the bus. The roads are in the mountains meaning a lot of turns. If you suffer from motion sickness take your meds with you and email the guide in advance if you would like to seat at front. Second, take your favorite snacks with you. Third, take your headphones with you. I recommend eating a meal at the Nachi stop since that is the only chance for proper meal. Good thing is that the guide gave neckpillows and also water which was really nice. Also I appreciated a lot that he had a finnish audio guide! That is super rare. The guide spends all time driving so he plays the guides for everyone. He gave enough guidance to look the sights by ourselves. Lastly, check-out the weather cast before going. With these in mind you will have an amazing trip and incredible photos!

We had a great time with our driver, Sam, he was very respectful, accomodating and patient. He recommended us a great place to eat as well. When we got to Nachi Falls it was raining, and he had umbrellas ready for us. His positive and joyful attitude made the trip very special.

The male guide explained the tour details in three languages: Japanese, English, and Mandarin. Upon arriving at the Osaka Gate parking lot, the guide also reminded us to be careful when walking, as the mountain path was rugged.

The tour guide was very attentive to the group members. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and although the mountain roads were inevitably bumpy, the rare beautiful views and memories made it all worthwhile. 🙂

I must say it was an unforgettable experience! The trail itself is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning views of the surrounding nature that truly capture the essence of Japan's beautiful landscapes. Our tour was impeccably organized and right on schedule, which made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. Our tour guide Mr Hanazawa was knowledgeable and friendly, providing us with fascinating insights into the history and cultural significance of the area. It was clear that they were well-prepared, as they catered to our group's needs and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Kumano Kodo. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply want to enjoy the scenery, this is an excellent place to visit.
