Hotels in Cairns

Great hotel. Just felt a little old, not quite 5 stars as it says it is. Staff were very frustrating upon our check-out. We called that morning requesting a 30 mins leniancy due to a work meeting, and were given permission. However was in room for meeting and they kept on harrassing us to get out of the room within 10 mins after 11am check-out time. Very embarrassing for me during meeting and a major interruption. Unprofessional.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was great. The hotel room was also very clean. The location was perfect for sightseeing, and it was convenient to be able to pop back to the hotel to drop off luggage. However, when I checked in early in the morning, I was told that the room wasn't ready yet and that I would receive an email once it was prepared, but I never received that email. Also, there was someone's hair tangled in the bath towel. These two issues are why I can't give a 5-star rating.

it would have been better if they have a pool and a restaurant for convenience then.

We stayed for two nights in late August. When we tried to drop off our luggage around 10 AM, we were told our room would be ready in about two hours. It's so traveler-friendly to allow early check-in. Both the reception staff and the housekeeping staff were wonderful people.

We arrived on an early morning flight, and the smooth check-in process was incredibly helpful. The location was excellent, and our room was very clean and comfortable! The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and we could even order warm egg dishes, which were delicious. The Hilton is definitely our top choice in Cairns!
