Things to do in Malang

The 4-day, 3-night trip to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo, and Kawah Ijen was incredibly worthwhile and beautiful! Mr. Ruly was an excellent driver, and the service was superb. He answered all our questions. All the accommodations were great, clean, and safe.

Booking a tour for Mount Bromo is definitely worth it. Our guide, Rizky, was amazing and is a truly thoughtful and patient person. With his years of experience, he ensured we had the best viewing spot for the sunrise. He even went above and beyond by bringing a yoga mat for us to sit on and a blanket, which was much appreciated since it was surprisingly cold. I would recommend this tour 11/10. Cheers!

The tour was really amazing, all the guides very nice. Would like to thank our driver Fauzi who took really good care of us and brought us around safely. Just expect to not get much sleep but that’s doesn’t matter as you’ll still have a good time. Accomodation very good for few hours of sleep.

i had my 2D1N Mount bromo and ijen tour with Ritzy, super amazing tour guide. He is amazingly fluent in english and has the kindest heart, takes care of us throughout the tour and ensured that we are okay the whole time. He even has amazing photo taking skills and took so many amazing pictures for us. He briefed us so well for our trip and made sure we knew what was happening and what we need to prepare as well. Had a overall great experience. Our driver Bobi is very considerate, and also the tour guide boy (don’t know how to spell his name but I thought the pronunciation is similar to “Tale”)is very caring. Anyways, the view worth your effort. Level of difficulty: moderate for a girl who doesn’t exercise very often since it gets extremely slippery sometimes. Tour guide would help you to take great pics and send to you, so even don’t need to bring your own phones. Maybe take some alcohol wipes or other sterilizing stuff in case you get injured.

Afternoon tour is good, as you don’t lose sleep travelling at night, and it’s not crowded at all going up to Mt Bromo. It was also great that the local agency could arrange for us to leave/return to Surabaya, where we were staying. Note that Surabaya to Malang takes close to 2 hours on the road.

It was a very enjoyable journey. Our driver, Hari, was kind enough to show us some great spots and took many photos for us!
