for the price it’s worth doing, 8 dollars and you get to roams himeji castle foregrounds at night with pretty light illuminations. it’s a very small and quick event, maybe 10-30 minutes maximum if you really take your time. End of the day I was happy to peruse my favourite castle in Japan after its normal closing hours with pretty lights for less money then I would normally spend on gatchapons.

Gary is a superb tour guide. Throughout the tour he shared a lot of information related to the places we were visiting, this gave me an impression that he is very knowledgeable and he cherishes his job as a tour guide. my family and I enjoyed the tour to Himeji Castle, Arima Onsen and Mount Rokku very very much! Rina was an incredible guide!! This was our first time having a guided tour in Japan and it was phenomenal. Himeji Castle has such a rich history and so many details that are easily overlooked/not covered in the standard guidebook provided by Himeji. She was a lot of fun to talk to and answered all questions we had. I think if you're also in a time crunch, a guided tour is the way to go because you'll really see the "meat" of Himeji Castle efficiently. I also appreciated that she showed us excellent, uncommon photo spots! The garden tour was fantastic and she told us much about the symbolism of many plants in the garden. Because of Rina, we will definitely be coming back to Himeji!!! I can't thank her enough for such a wonderful experience.

I’d like to commend our tour guide named Simon. He can speak, English, Japanese, and Chinese which helped our diverse group that day. He was also flexible with our schedule and gave us ample time to explore each site.

this tour was great!! Nancy was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. she was also such a good sport in the heat— and it was so hot out when we went. she was kind and intelligent and spoke wonderful English. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Himeji castle. there’s a lot you can miss if you just do it yourself. thanks again for such a. great time!!

Had the pleasure of Abdul taking us around Shirakawa-go, Takayama and Hida no Sato. He was punctual and professional, allowing us to explore each location at our own pace which we really enjoyed. Kaleem was a great driver ! He drove us safely to each destination and made sure we knew exactly where he would be waiting for us. He communicated with us via Whatsapp and gave us frequent updates. The hotel was conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to go out for dinner. It was also close to Himeji Castle, so I could take a walk after dinner and see the illuminated castle. Amenities were available at the front desk, and you could take what you needed. I especially liked the soft toothbrush. Overall, the room was clean.

This hotel is conveniently located right outside the south exit of Himeji Station, offering friendly service and luggage storage. The rooms are like new, with mattresses that are just the right firmness. The bathtubs are deep and long, with excellent water pressure, and DHC amenities and a powerful hairdryer are provided. Complimentary bottled water is offered in the room, along with a coffee maker and tea bags. The excellent location makes getting around extremely easy, with a wide variety of dining and shopping options nearby. The guest rooms are well-equipped, clean, and comfortable, and check-out time is 12:00 PM. Using the Setouchi Area Rail Pass in conjunction with your stay will save you time and make traveling around the area even more convenient.
