We had a great experience with our guide. Liao was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. He explained everything clearly, answered all our questions with a smile,l. We highly recommend him. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable!

this was possibly the best part of the trip. a little thrill ride. lots of nature. excellent guides who were as funny as the jungle river cruise. it was delightful and I would go back every season to see the changes in the nature and hear the stories of the boatmen. exceptional trip

Miss Yurika was truly wonderful! She helped us a lot, including purchasing tickets for us and resolving various issues! Our absolute top recommendation is Katsio-ji Temple, and we hope to book this tour again if we have the chance!

Bamboo forest was really pretty, albeit the crowd can make it hard to take photos. The romantic train seemed kinda meh actually, didn’t really enjoy it. However, the hozugawa boat ride was the best attraction of this day tour; you’ll constantly be surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. The boatmen were really entertaining and professional as well.

A peaceful and entertaining boat ride through the river. I felt safe 100% of the time and the boatmen were funny and entertaining.

experience: scenic view of beautiful nature, lush green forests everywhere (would be amazing during Sakura season and later in October/November when the trees change colors) with some fast moments on the river
instructor: proficient in English, absolute charming and knowledgeable about the area. also: super funny - everyone was laughing

Initially, I was just looking for Japanese-style accommodation, and I saw many bloggers recommending Umekoji Kadensho. Then, I saw that bicycles were available for rent, so I booked it. I managed to book a double room for three nights on Klook for just over 9,000 yen, which was quite a bargain! 😍 The conclusion is that there were no bicycles available for rent, but all other facilities were very satisfying. The public bath was extremely clean and had a wonderful atmosphere, making my first time bathing openly with others completely comfortable. I even bathed day and night! The private bath was relatively more ordinary but perfect for families and couples, and also suitable for those who are not comfortable bathing openly with others. 🫶🏻 The hotel also offers many free snacks and ramen, as well as free yukata for guests to try on, which is definitely worth experiencing. I highly recommend Umekoji Kadensho! Since my itinerary involved early departures, I didn't include breakfast in my booking this time, but I did add breakfast for the last day. Personally, I don't think it was the best value for money, but it's still worth trying. 👍🏻
