It's very convenient. All you need to do is provide your name and QR code on site. The service staff was very nice and allowed us to change the boat schedule to another time.
It is very convenient to get to Airlie Beach from Hamilton Island, but there is a boat available at the airport after you get off the plane, so you don’t have to go to the port to catch it ~ you have to walk some distance
The reception who checked us in was so helpful, polite and friendly. Everything was so smooth and perfect even the schedule time had changed from 10:50 am to 11:35 am. Nice views during the way from port of Airlie to daydream island.

From the airport, you can take a taxi to the terminal, check in the boat early, and leave your luggage at the counter. We ask the next boat to carry the luggage directly to the Port of Airlie, and we will go to the counter to pick it up when we board the boat later Convenience.
There was a clear gap in communication between the app and the service provider. I had selected 1.10pm departure as was shown to me in the app. However, when I turned up in the ferry terminal, I was told the booking was for 11am. So there was misalignment of the requested booking and the actual booking. However, the whitsunday cruise team were helpful and allocated me a seat in their later departure. So to be not on the spot, please confirm beforehand.

It was comfortable and I didn't get seasick. I was also happy that there were free drinks such as hot chocolate that can be melted with powder.
