Nijō Castle tours

Our tour of Nijo Castle with Naoya was an incredible experience. He was very professional, spoke excellent English, and explained the history of the site in a way that was both clear and engaging. The location itself is breathtaking, and having such a knowledgeable guide made it even more special. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and truly great value for money. Highly recommended!

Guide was friendly and to the point. Niki castle was overrated for me- had empty rooms inside which made no sense to me. Kinkaku-ji is a must do in Kyoto, Aarishyama area and Fushimi Inari were superb too. my parents don’t walk a lot but they were able to do this comfortably in the time that we had each place. we just went to the start point for Fushimi inari. For aarishiyama do take the bamboo route and then enter the Tenryu-ji temple from back gate- it cut downs the walking and the temple has a lovely garden

A really great tour to get an overview of historic Tokyo and Japan in a single day, we didn’t have much time in Kyoto so it was perfect to see a lot, our guide was knowledgeable and kept everyone’s energy up over a big day. The only downside of this is you don’t get much time at each stop, keep in mind that this is a quick tour of everything and you’ll be fine or choose to go to less stops on another tour where you can spend longer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful day trip to Kyoto! The itinerary was well organized, covering all the major attractions including Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Inari. Everything ran smoothly and there was enough time to enjoy each stop. A special thanks to our tour guide, Frederick, who provided outstanding service throughout the day. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and on schedule. His clear explanations, helpful recommendations, and great attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. Our trip to Kyoto was fantastic. We had an excellent tour guide, Alejandro (Ale), who was very knowledgeable and kept the experience both interesting and fun. He made sure we all reached our destinations safely and enjoyed our time. The trip itself was a lot of fun albeit rushed, as we managed to see the entire city in just one day. We visited five different spots, spending about an hour to an hour and a half at each location. While having more time at each stop would have been nice, our day was quite full — starting at 7 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. Overall, it was a packed but wonderful experience!

This time, our family of five booked a tour, and we're so grateful to tour guide and driver Xiao Zhao for taking us around. It was very thoughtful of him to personally drop us off at our guesthouse at the end. We wish Xiao Zhao all the best in his future endeavors!
