Tours de Nijō Castle

L'Aye va ser un guia turístic absolutament increïble al Castell de Nijo! Tenia un coneixement impressionant i va compartir tants detalls fascinants sobre el castell, la seva història i característiques que mai hauríem notat sols. Anteriorment havia visitat el Castell de Nijo sense guia, i sincerament puc dir que aquesta experiència va ser un 100% millor. Vaig aprendre molt i vaig marxar amb una apreciació completament nova pel castell i la seva història. A més de ser un guia excel·lent, l'Aye va ser increïblement atent i considerat. Quan va començar a ploure durant el nostre recorregut, fins i tot es va oferir a buscar-nos paraigües! Va ser un gest tan amable i realment va demostrar quant es preocupa per les persones dels seus tours. No puc recomanar prou l'Aye. Si visiteu el Castell de Nijo a Kyoto, tenir-lo com a guia fa que l'experiència sigui molt més significativa i memorable. Gràcies, Aye, per un tour tan meravellós!

I had a great day in Kyoto! The itinerary was great and we managed to do and see so many things in one day. All of the activities were amazing and things i wanted to see and it was all really well organised and easy. I went as a solo traveller and if you’re looking for an easy day trip to Kyoto with no stress about transport and creating an itinerary then i highly recommend this tour!!! Our tour guide was great and super helpful and informative. Thank you :))

This tour was great, very punctual, and they complied 100% with what they offered. My guide "Effy" was super special; she explained everything super clearly, even with slides. Super recommended. We spent an amazing day discovering Kyoto with Ciel, from Kiyomizu-dera to Fushimi Inari and beyond. She kept the whole day flowing effortlessly and made the experience feel unique. Ciel’s English was perfect and her enthusiasm was contagious. She brought a fun, relaxed vibe while still sharing plenty of insights along the way. Highly recommended, thank you Ciel!

We didnt get to see the castle, due to me booking on a tuesday (perhaps worth mentioning on the booking), but visiting the two shrines and the Palace with KC was informative, as well as the drive around. His english was good, he was enthusiastic, and he used humour well throughout.

It was great especially for the price paid. The driver only brings you from one location to the next. It is a self-guiided tour which might work perfectly for your group. It did for us as I had kids with me and could not expect to hear from a guide for the entire day. The stops were incredible. Signing up for the tour takes all the logistics to do it yourself out of your hand.

One of the best tours we ever had the privilege to experience. Our tour guide, Nobumasa Miyake, is a fine gentleman who was very engaging and knowledgeable and masterful at enlightening us with the historical facts and culture. His method of storytelling is direct with local lore, humor and personal experience which helped us feel like we are connected to the amazing culture and past of Japan. His empathy for our struggles to stay dry from the heavy rain that was pouring down upon us by offering to switch his large umbrella with our small umbrella is a fine example of his character, integrity and respect for others. In addition, to offering to help take pictures for us, giving away his copy of the map of Kyoto when learning it was our 1st time visiting Kyoto, and suggesting great spots for trying out food, shopping and exploring. We are so grateful to be guided by such an exemplary person and strongly recommend him to be anyone next tour guide! Thank you, Nobumasa Miyake and TripGuru!

A huge thank you to Heli and Ikeda-san for an amazing tour experience! Heli was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the history and culture in such an interesting and easy-to-understand way. We learned a lot and never felt rushed, while still staying perfectly on schedule. Ikeda-san made every ride smooth, safe, and comfortable. Together they made the day stress-free, educational, and memorable. We would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Japan!

Highly recommend! Our driver Wen was polite, courteous, punctual, and very knowledgeable of the sites visited. Definitely the highlight of our Kyoto trip.
