Our tour guide James was an absolute star! The tour was so well organised even though it must have been like herding cats! James always gave detailed explanations about the background of where we were going and also he gave excellent recommendations on where to eat wherever we were. But above all he managed to maintain the same energy and positivity throughout. This was by far the best tour I’ve done in Taiwan in terms of the locations we went and overall experience. Highly recommend:))

Overall, it was a good and enjoyable tour. The weather was fine, but if you’re visiting in mid-June, be prepared for the heat and humidity as it can get quite uncomfortable during the day.
Our tour guide, Sungping, was excellent—friendly, funny, and engaging throughout the trip. He shared brief but interesting historical information about the places we visited, which made the experience more meaningful and enjoyable.
One thing that disappointed us was the Jiufen itinerary. The Klook tour title suggested that we would get to experience the night view of Jiufen, which was one of the reasons we booked this tour. However, we left shortly after sunset, before the iconic illuminated streets and full night atmosphere could be enjoyed. It would be helpful if the tour description clarified the actual timing to better manage guests’ expectations.
Despite this, the tour was well-organized and we still had a great time exploring Yehliu, Shifen and Jiufen.
