We stayed at Naeba Prince Hotel for our ski trip to Naeba Ski Resort. The ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from Echigo-Yuzawa Station (reservations required in advance), which takes about 30 minutes. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful. We stayed in a Room Type 4 facing the ski slopes. Although the hotel clearly has a historical feel, being able to see the snow scenery outside the window at any time from the room was well worth it. Building 4 has ski equipment rental and lockers for guests to use. Additionally, guests receive a discount on lift tickets, but these must be purchased online in advance. There are many restaurants in each building of the hotel. We recommend joining the Seibu membership program to earn points on purchases made at the hotel, which can then be used to offset future expenses.

Powdery snow, good snowfall, well-managed. There's a wide selection of ginger to eat at the accommodation. The onsen is good.

The ski in/out access is very convenient, but although the hotel buildings are connected, the distance between them is a bit long. It takes about 700 steps to walk from building 6 to building 2. Next time, I might consider staying in a building closer to the middle.

The hotel is clean, the food selection is extensive, and skiing and rentals are smooth downstairs. The service is friendly and overall very efficient. It was a great first experience! I will definitely visit again in the future!

I stayed at Kagura Ski Resort for 5 days this time, and the overall experience was a very comfortable traditional Japanese inn stay. Here's a simple summary of some actual feelings for snow enthusiasts looking for accommodation in this area.
1. Facilities and Functions
• Rooms: Traditional Japanese tatami rooms, very clean and tidy.
• Skiing facilities: There is a private large bathhouse in the inn, which is very convenient for bathing after skiing. The drying room is also standard, and there is no problem with washing clothes and drying snowsuits and snow boots.
• Toilets: Although it is a public toilet, there are many locations, which are very clean. I did not encounter any situations where I needed to queue up and wait for a few days.
• Public area: There are about a thousand comic books in the rest area to read. Coffee, tea and ice are free to take, which is very convenient.
2. Catering (Breakfast and Dinner)
• I booked a plan with breakfast and dinner. I stayed for five days, and the menu changed every day without repetition.
• The food is prepared with care, the taste is good, especially the soup for dinner is delicious.
3. Transportation Location
• About 5 minutes walk from Mitsumata gondola station.
• Transportation is very smooth, there is a shuttle bus to and from Echigo-Yuzawa Station every day, and the hotel can also arrange pick-up and drop-off.
4. Service
• The staff is very nice and very enthusiastic.
Summary:
The overall atmosphere is that of a traditional Japanese hot spring inn, not luxurious but very comfortable, suitable for people who are focused on skiing and require convenience in life. I should choose here again next time I go skiing in Kagura.
