Tips before visiting Las Vegas

1. Plan your days around walking

You’ll walk a lot on the Strip, so wear comfortable shoes and light clothes. Distances look short but can take longer than expected. Make sure to drink water often, especially on warm days.

2. Visit during cooler months

The best weather is usually from October to April. Summer can get very hot, especially midday. Early mornings and evenings are the easiest times to explore.

3. Look for free shows and attractions

You can save money by enjoying free parking in some areas and free shows. The Bellagio fountain shows, the Fremont Street canopy, and some hotel exhibits don’t cost anything. These will help you balance out activities that have extra cost.

4. Use a day pass for transport

A day pass will help you get around simply, especially if you don’t want to walk long distances. It works well for visiting off-Strip spots like the Neon Museum or Pinball Hall of Fame.

5. Book shows and tours early

Make sure to book early to give yourself more choices and sometimes better prices. Popular shows like Cirque du Soleil and guided tours to Grand Canyon National Park or the West Rim fill up quickly. So arrive early to most attractions to avoid long lines.
