Wulai District

The best time to visit Wulai District is from November to April for hot springs, cooler walking weather, and cherry blossoms in late winter or early spring. Summer is lush and green, but river conditions and storms should be checked carefully.

Take the Taipei Metro to Xindian Station, then transfer to a bus or taxi to Wulai. Driving is possible but parking can be limited on weekends and holidays.

Wulai Old Street is walkable, and the waterfall area can be reached by walking, local transport, or the Wulai Log Cart when available. Use taxis or buses for travel between Xindian and Wulai.

Stay near Wulai Old Street for food, transport, and easy access to the waterfall route. Riverside hot spring hotels are best for private baths and mountain views. Xindian or central Taipei are practical alternatives if you want to visit Wulai as a day trip.
