It's good to tour Wulai Old Street and hot springs together. After taking a bus straight from Taipei Main Station, you'll find Wulai Old Street a little ways from the terminal. Have a snack or meal there, and then cross the large bridge to take the mini train to Yunxian Waterfall. The mini train is surprisingly fast and turns boldly, so children need to be careful. After seeing the waterfall, go up the stairs to take the cable car, and buy a cheap ticket for 2 foreigners + cable car, and then take the cable car. After that, go see Yunxian Paradise, but there's a bit of moss and a lot of stairs, so people with disabilities should be careful. Take your time and feel the feeling of an abandoned amusement park (?) in the forest, do some light trekking, and come down. It'll be around afternoon. As the sun sets a little past 5pm, it starts to get dark (the mini train runs until 5pm), so take a taxi a little further to a hot spring with a view of the river, enjoy the hot spring experience, and then take a bus back when the sun has completely set to end your day trip!

we enjoyed the hike and the staffs in the dining area accommodated our requests of changing our food as we don't eat pork or shrimps. they gave us fried fish fillet, chicken soup, steamed veggies and vegetarian chopseuy, stir fry chicken. it was all good. we enjoyed the scenery and the cool weather.

Place: For me, the place is a paradise but it's a diamond in the rough. It shows its age and you can tell it isn’t being maintained. Despite that, I find that it’s still such a beautiful spot to visit when in Wulai. It’s tranquil and serene. If you’re considering visiting, I’d suggest taking it for what it is and know that it’s an old, old location and just enjoy the peace and uniqueness of it all, regardless of its wear and tear.
The cable car in itself is a short sweet ride and not that scary. It goes right on top of the falls and you can see Wulai from the top.
Redemption process: I booked the ticket on the day itself and is easy to redeem. You just need to present the ticket when in line for the cable car.

Amazing view of the resort on top of the mountain, was mesmerized how it was constructed and the view going to the top, seeing the water falls & lots of trees. Truly an amazing experience. Cable car ride was also smooth, it can accomodate how many persons per ride and yet feels safe. They also have boat ride that can try for 30minutes.

This is one of the highlights of our Wulai trip! Highly recommended cable car to and from the resort, a great experience to see the whole of the waterfalls frim above. Lots of activities to enjoy inside the resort.

It's an all-in-one package that includes a roundtrip cable car ride and admission to Yun Hsien Resort. I bought the tickets right at the cable car gate, and it was very easy and convenient to use. The cable car ride was scenic, and we got up close to the waterfall. The resort itself was lovely, though be prepared for a few stairs to reach it. The place is very relaxing, and there are several activities you can enjoy at the resort.

New Taipei Wulai Yun Hsien Resort Wulai is located about 27 kilometers southeast of Taipei City, and is the only mountainous township in Taipei County. The entire area is covered with lush trees, flowing clear water, and surrounded by mountains. The source at the top of the famous Wulai Waterfall is even more picturesque with lakes and mountains, ancient trees reaching to the sky, misty clouds in the forest, and butterflies, cicadas, and birdsong, like a paradise on earth. However, this beautiful scenery was inaccessible to tourists due to the cliffs of the Nanshi River. Thus, a cable car construction plan was initiated to fully present the original natural landscape to the public.
