Things to do in Motonosumi Inari Shrine

It was a great experience. We easily found the meeting point at Hakata Station. Our guide, Nanami, was incredibly friendly and effortlessly switched between Chinese, Japanese, and English, explaining the itinerary and providing brief details about the attractions. The mini-bus was also very comfortable, and the driver was skilled. If you have luggage, you need to contact them via email in advance. We were lucky today; although it was cloudy with scattered showers, it didn't rain during our visits to the attractions, even though it rained heavily on the road. The turbulent sea and the vibrant red torii gate offered a wonderful experience. Akiyoshido Cave was quite cool inside, so bringing a jacket is recommended; it felt like a cave exploration. The crepes at the ice cream shop by the cave entrance were mediocre and not cheap.

My experience on the Kyushu Yamaguchi Secret Tour (Akiyoshido Cave) was incredible from start to finish. Akiyoshido Cave is an absolute masterpiece of nature—massive, surreal, and breathtakingly beautiful. What truly made the day exceptional, though, was our tour guide, Cico. She was exceptionally informative, guiding us through the history and formations of the cave with fascinating details. She also went above and beyond by sharing fantastic local food recommendations and tips on what to try next. To top it all off, Cico took some amazing candid photos of us throughout the trip that captured the moment perfectly. If you are taking this tour, I genuinely hope you get Cico as your guide. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour! Our tour guide Seki was absolutely the cutest and most thoughtful. She could speak Japanese, Chinese, and English well and told us about all the good spots such as the plateau at the Akiyoshido cave which may have been easily overlooked by the standard tourist. Our bus driver drove smoothly and efficiently which was an added plus for such a long day trip. Overall, highly recommend. The attractions, the bus ride, and the rest stops were very scenic!! Just keep in mind a few things. 1) Most of the toilets at the spots did not have soap, so make sure to bring hand sanitizer or hand wipes. 2) Make sure to bring cash for the admission fee to the cave (1,600 yen per person) which is not included with your reservation. 3) Make sure to watch your time. We spent a little too much time at the plateau and didn’t have time to eat a proper lunch at the cave restaurant. Or just make sure to pack enough snacks or food to have extra time for all the attractions. Thanks Klook!

Although this day tour only has 3 attractions, each of them has its own unique features and is well worth a visit. The sushi at Karato Market was fresh and delicious; we didn't go to the most famous shop because the queue was simply too long, but just randomly picked a nearby one and were already very satisfied, especially the fatty tuna, which melted in your mouth! We tried the pufferfish sashimi, which wasn't anything special. The rows of red torii gates at Motonosumi Shrine, paired with the blue sky, white clouds, and the endless sea, made me subconsciously take dozens of photos! Mount Sarakura at dusk and as the night lights begin to glow is truly enchanting! It's very suitable for photography enthusiasts, just make sure to reserve enough time for the round-trip cable car. The tour guide, Mr. Cheung, was very attentive; he always clearly stated the meeting times and reminded everyone when it was a good time to use the restroom. Explaining the itinerary and background information of the attractions along the way in English, Mandarin, and Japanese was effortless for him, definitely deserving of praise!

Even though the weather was cloudy and the photos weren't great, it was a pleasant and fun trip thanks to our guide, Lisha! Thank you very much.

our tour guide 孙楠Sun is very polite and kind as he bring us to our day trip to Mojiko whereas he give us good tip where we could get our good sashimi at the fish market . we also enjoy our little boat ride across to visit the fish market too. food are fresh and delicious. Following after that we are being bought to a outlet district as we manage to get many good Japanese label at good price and plus a bonus to see Ultraman exhibition that is currently exhibiting . lastly we went to Sakakurayama for our stunning night view cable tour which really wrapped up our day with a beautiful end of tour

This is my first time join local tour. I have good experience on that. Because tour guides very nice, explain very clearly and detail on our tour. And always update and remind us important information through what app, pay attention on her customer service. I’m appreciate on her guide in this trip, I’m very enjoyable and very happy! This tour includes a total of 3 attractions. The distances between them are quite far, making for a long drive and a slightly tiring experience. The seafood at the Karato Market was fresh and reasonably priced, and we really enjoyed the meal. Each piece of sushi cost around 200 to 600 Japanese yen, and seafood rice bowls with mixed seafood or salmon roe were available for 1,000 to 2,000 yen. The indoor dining area on the second floor requires a fee of 300 yen per person. Finally, regarding the night view from Mount Sarakura, the weather was not very good; it was very foggy and we couldn't see anything. Fortunately, the fog cleared up a bit when we took the cable car back down, providing a perfect ending with the night view. There is a panoramic restaurant on the second floor of the mountain, but seating is limited. As soon as the cable car arrives, you need to hurry and place your order; otherwise, once the seats are full, they stop taking orders. The restaurant only has about 12 tables, and due to a shortage of staff, the food is served very slowly, so you need to keep an eye on your return transportation time. Our tour leader, Ms. Yang Meng, was very friendly and shared a lot of useful information.

We really wanted to see Motonosumi Shrine. However, the original tour that we wanted to join was already full the day that is available for us so we decided to book this tour. Little did we know that we have booked a tour with "Chinese/Japanese-speaking tour guide" even if we don't speak any of the two languages. Despite this, our tour guide, Mr. Wang, did his best to guide us using a translation app. The initial plan for the tour is we explore Mojiko on our own then ride the ferry to go to the Karato Fish market and the tour guide will meet us there. However, Mr. Wang volunteered to take us to the fish market through the van instead of the ferry so we will not be lost. We respectfully declined his offer because we wanted to experience riding the ferry. We really felt his sincere concern for us. We are very satisfied with this tour. Thank you, Mr. Wang!
