Hangzhou Hiking

The tour was the best of our Hangzhou trip as we had a great time with 小邵 who explained the Chinese culture while we were at the temples and taught us how to make incense offerings. Food selection at the halal vegetarian buffet was confusing as the items were not labelled. He kindly offered us food from his tray and told us more about the locals favourite dishes. Our family has a toddler and infant, making the trip challenging. 小邵 brought us to a private room in one of the locals house, and allowed me to use it for breastfeeding. He also paid for our taxi ride back to West Lake after that - all which he didn’t have to. His kind gesture was very much appreciated. Lastly he bought us 莲蓬 at 岳庙 before he departed. We would like to thank 小邵 for his Hangzhou hospitality, just like the weather in September, so warm and inviting! These photos are taken by him too!

our tour guide 冬, was very friendly, chat with us along the way. put effort to explain to us about xixi wetlands, bring us to the main spots and avoid the crowds. she bring us to a recomended lunch place that is popular with the locals with nice food nearby. she also brought us to try tea picking and frying. it is an interesting experience. will recommend others to try it.

A very nice walk, weather was good and guide (Xiao Qiang) was nice and knowledgeable of the history of Longjin tea and the area around Longjin Shan. Had a great walk with many pictures taken - thanks to Xiao Qiang. Walk was easy.
