Fantastic 5.0
Visiting the archaeological site of Tulum, Cobá, and finishing with the indoor cenote where we could swim in the cave was incredible. It's truly an experience not to be missed. I also want to thank Kevin, our guide, who was super kind and very funny. I really enjoyed spending the day with him and the group. Thanks also to our driver José, who transported us all day. 💙🇲🇽

Fantastic 5.0
what a great half-day activity! It was fun and adventurous. We were concerned that everyone would be expert swimmers, but they were not, which made it even better because we didn’t feel out of place, we saw some turtles and stingrays granted they were baby stingrays lol and some cool fish. there was a rope to guide you. but honestly, my favorite part was the going to the Sante underground cause I had been totes before that were open, but this one was closed meaning you’re in a cave which was so cool, and I really enjoyed swimming through the cave and also we did see some bats, but there was like one or two at most and they were mostly tucked away not wanting to bother us and the water was so clear. I was surprised of how clear the water was and it was really refreshing. The guide and the driver and the photographer all did a great job working together. at the end, we had delicious empanadas with an amazing habanero sauce with a nice kick to it. a lot of fun overall and great value!

Great 4.0
There was an issue with the Klook listing. It stated that a buffet lunch was included, but after I booked the tickets, the details showed that the buffet lunch was not included in the price. In the end, we had to pay extra for the buffet lunch on the day of the tour, but the food provided was absolutely not worth the price the restaurant charged. It was very disappointing. The tour guide had a very strong English accent. My husband, who has lived in the United States for nearly 30 years, could only understand about half of what he said. We often couldn't tell if he was speaking English or Spanish, though we could definitely feel the guide's dedication. We departed from downtown Cancun, and it was a truly packed itinerary. We had to be at the meeting point at 4:45 AM and didn't return until around 8:30 PM. It was an exhausting day. Because Chichen Itza was unexpectedly closed that day, the guide took us to Ek Balam instead. We didn't realize we were running out of water and ended up suffering from heatstroke after about half an hour without rehydrating. The weather that day was incredibly hot, which meant we didn't have the energy to properly explore Ek Balam. All we wanted was to get back to the entrance as quickly as possible to buy water. The planning by the staff at Ek Balam wasn't great; many ruins didn't have English explanations, and there was no place to buy water inside the site, only at the entrance and the parking lot. We hadn't planned on actually swimming in the Chichikan cenote, but we were surprised that the staff even required us to pay for a life vest and locker just to dip our feet in the water. Otherwise, we weren't allowed to enter at all and could only view the cenote from the observation deck. Since the water quality inside wasn't very clean, we decided not to go in after all.

What to know before visiting Tulum

Tulum at a glance — tours, ruins and water fun

Tulum’s top bookings on Klook show a mix of Tours, Historical sites and Water activities shaping visitor plans through the year. Demand peaks in January and again around March and November, giving the city a rhythm of busy winter months and much quieter late summer.

When to visit and what to expect on prices

Klook booking data shows the busiest month is January, while September is the quietest. Prices peak in July according to Klook’s price history, and typically drift down through spring into May, which Klook bookings show as the usually cheapest month. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in May or September; for the peak-season atmosphere, January and the other winter high months are best. Note that price and demand don’t always move together here: July is the priciest month even though the highest demand is concentrated in winter.

Tips for travellers

Most visitors on Klook book around nine days ahead on average, with some booking as late as a day before travel and others planning up to about a month out. If you’re flexible, many activities can be added a few days before arrival, but if you travel in the busy winter months it’s wise to plan closer to that typical nine-day window. Use Klook to lock in tours and historical-site tickets in advance when you want certainty, or browse last-minute options if your dates are flexible.
