Puffing Billy Railway ture

The ride on the Puffing Billy steam train was truly impressive! Sitting on the open carriage window sills, dangling our legs outside, and feeling the breeze while passing through lush green forests was such an exciting experience! The penguin parade was incredible! I was grateful to see around 60 penguins—on average, about 700 penguins come out to the island each day. Australian penguins are the little penguin and irresistibly cute! I was also delighted to see baby Cape Barren Geese; they are utterly adorable! Our tour guide is knowledgeable and cares for our basic needs such as going to the bathroom and having our meals during the day. I highly recommend wearing enough clothing because Philip Island is very windy.

We had a fantastic experience on our Puffing Billy trip, and a big part of that was thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Joe. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day enjoyable from start to finish. He made sure everyone was having a great time. We really appreciated his enthusiasm and professionalism. one of the best tours I’ve had. Luke was the driver and tour guide. He was highly knowledgeable and fantastic. I wish I had a few more days in Melbourne to book Luke for another tour. The tour (itinerary) itself was amazing and Luke made it even more memorable. I’ll definitely be telling my friends and family about how great the experience was. we started off at the Moonlit Sanctuary and fed wallabies/kangaroos. The highlight was spotting the wild wallaby as we drove to the penguins. The best part was seeing the little penguins come up from the beach and waddle up into the grass. the gift shop was great too. It was a sunny day but definitely windy. the gift shop had great embrodied jumpers and zip ups as well as blankets to purchase. I love the penguin parade. Great thank you to Luke for making it so fun too. We listened to his playlist and he sang.

we return this year after missing the opportunity to hop on this wonderful Puffing Billy Train last August as we unfortunately didn’t manage to secure tickets. It is advisable to book the train tickets in advance - we booked our Puffing Billy Train about 4 months prior to our August trip to Melbourne 😛

had a lovely day with guide Jess and tour mates. a big applause and shout out to Jess for being extremely patient and caring towards a pair of young girls missing from pick up area . Jess went extra miles to drive back to drop off area and everyone went off the bus to search for the girls together. all was well and the whole group of us returned safely back to the city together without leaning anyone behind. Jess even went extra miles to take video of us riding on moving the train and shared in group chat. tis was definitely one of my most memorable tour in Melbourne.

Max, our guide, is a multi-faceted, multi-talented, and a multi-lingual tourist guide. We arrived just in a knick of time and he was kind enough to guide us throughout the trip. More so, he also helped us in achieving our photo goals as a group. We highly recommend this activity in Melbourne.
