Fantastic 5.0
Compared to the Oita Zoo, this one is noticeably smaller, but the fun part is that you can buy food to feed the animals, similar to how it works in Canada! Also, you can tell they really care for their animals because every single one is very clean, except for the cows.

The scheduled pipe organ performances and antique instrument demonstrations were varied experience.

A super organized park! An opportunity to see animals up close like lemurs and monkeys and even feed them… I loved it! I highly recommend it 🥰 Price: I paid 5,500 through Klook for 2 adults and one 9-year-old child.

What to know before visiting Nasu

Nasu’s top things to do through the year

Nasu is best known for its animal-focused attractions and a smaller selection of museums, with zoos & aquariums and museums generating the most bookings. Demand swells toward 11月 and is lowest around 4月, so expect the rhythm of the year to shape how busy these sights feel.

What different travellers tend to enjoy here

Families and those with kids will find zoos & aquariums especially rewarding — they’re the most popular option and offer a wide range of experiences for different ages. Couples often enjoy the quieter, museum-style outings for a low-key cultural pace. Solo travellers and small groups can mix both: museums for a gentle, budget-friendly stop and zoos & aquariums for more varied, interactive visits.

What travellers book ahead

What travellers book ahead Most activities in Nasu are flexible enough to be picked up close to travel dates, though the earliest planners commonly book around two days in advance. Booking ahead matters most during the peak months of 11月 when demand is noticeably higher.

How the categories stack up on price and appeal

Museums are the easiest way in for budget-conscious visitors, typically sitting at the lower end of the price range. Zoos & aquariums are generally pricier on average and also show the widest spread of options, from simpler admissions to more premium encounters, making them suitable for families and travellers seeking variety. Together they cover both entry-level and mid-range experiences, so visitors can choose a low-cost museum stop or a broader-range zoo visit depending on interest and budget.
