Alishan & Fenqihu Day Tour (Departing from Taichung & Chiayi)

Our driver, Yang, picked us up right on time and picked up 3 other people. Our group had 7 people in total riding in his Mercedes Benz. Super comfy. We had 2 stops before heading to Alishan. 1st was short and we saw a guy walk over firecrackers. 2nd, we had a bento lunch with the mountain view. We finally made it to Alishan Park. The roads were windy and bumpy so if you have motion sickness, be prepared with medicine or saltine crackers. It's a long ride into the park. Yang took us around the park & showed us the best places to take pictures. He took photos for us and sent through Whatsapp. He even made a video for us as a keepsake! He also brought us to a tea farm afterwards! The ride back was also hard for those with motion sickness, but I made it. Yang dropped off the other passengers and he even dropped us off at another location since we didn't want to go back to our hotel yet. He was the best! We loved Alishan!

The day before the trip, the tour leader will call to inform you of important travel notes. 👍 On the way to Alishan, the tour leader and driver, Chen Jihong, also known as Brother A-Ji, provided detailed introductions. Upon arriving at the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, he even transformed into a professional photographer! 👍 He's excellent at finding the best angles, and every photo he took was beautiful. Along the way, he also made sure to look after every traveler. This was my first visit to Alishan, and I was so lucky to have such a wonderful tour leader. This trip was definitely worth it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For first-time visitors to Alishan, I highly recommend "Chen Jihong - Brother A-Ji"; his detailed explanations made this journey even better! 👍

Excellent operator. Picked up at the hotel on time. The driver, Moose, spoke fluent English and was very communicative. The car was very comfortable, a Mercedes. We visited all the places on the itinerary. The scenery in Alishan was truly beautiful. Moose showed us good photo spots and helped take pictures; the results were amazing. This tour does not include Alishan entrance tickets or train tickets. These can be purchased on Klook. I highly recommend this operator. And with Klook, everything is easy.

A great way to explore the hills and forest of Chiayi County. The travel time is quite high from Taichung (around 2hrs 30 mins each way), but it's worth it once you get there - we get around 3 to 4 hours time in the actual forest itself, with a train ride and a guided hike through the forest, as well as some free time to explore. The first stop, the temple is quite unremarkable, but after that the town, railway and the forest are breathtaking. The guide Ivan did a great job by himself, managing our group, giving us recommendations and facts as well as taking great photos for us , as well as navigating through the challenging mountain roads.

Our Alishan trip was amazing, thanks to our driver, Ivan! It was a small group tour and the hotel pick-up made everything so convenient. Ivan was so helpful with all our requests and really looked after my family. He knew exactly where the best photo spots were and helped us pace our walk since the trails can be quite long. We really appreciated his patience and local knowledge. Highly recommended!

I joined this Alishan day trip yesterday and it’s just the start of my vacation in Taiwan but it’s honestly already my favorite day already. The views were crazy wonderful. We made multiple stops, even at side lines for random pretty flowers and didn’t feel rushed. Our tour guide Yang 小暘（RFL-7577) was nice and patient. He even offered to take photos for us several times. He kept pointing out the sea of clouds for us and made sure we didn’t miss the views. Also, I was a few minutes late to the start/meeting point and he was very understanding and waited. Fenqihu and Alishan Forest were both beautiful, the train ride, the giant trees, the scenery, everything was worth it. Visiting the temple was also interesting. We got to see foggy mountains too, which looked amazing. The guide said it wasn’t even the foggiest it can get, but we were lucky because the weather had a nice balance of sun and light for good views. Overall, really nice trip. I was very happy I joined.

I recommend the Alishan tour! I was worried because I was traveling alone, but driver and guide Mr. Xiaoxin took good care of me, took lots of pictures, and I really enjoyed the trip. I was also grateful for the Taiwanese friends I traveled with. Taiwanese people are really kind.♡ Everyone, take the Alishan tour! ♡ And!!!!!! If you go to Fenqihu, they sell pastry donuts at the parking lot entrance~ They're re~~~~ally delicious, so buy 10 of them~~ They're delicious even when they're cold~ You must try them~
