Shared City Transfer between Chiayi and Alishan

We took the 7322C Alishan route bus from in front of the Chiayi Railway Station. We originally missed the 8:10 AM bus, so we had to wait for the 8:40 AM one. Unexpectedly, the bus arrived at 8:30 AM. Passengers with physical tickets were allowed to board first, followed by those who scanned their QR codes, and finally passengers using EasyCards. It was a Saturday, but luckily there weren't many passengers in the morning, so my travel companion and I were able to sit together. After arriving in Alishan, we were also able to enter the Forest Recreation Area smoothly with our QR codes. For the return trip, we took the 3:40 PM bus. There were noticeably more people heading down the mountain, and my travel companion and I were forced to sit separately. However, if we didn't take this bus, we would have had to wait until 4:10 PM, so we settled for it (the last bus was at 5:10 PM). We arrived in downtown Chiayi as the city lights were coming on. The ride up the mountain took about 2.5 hours. Although the mountain roads were winding, the driver was experienced and drove steadily, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenery or take a nap. Overall, the bus service was convenient and suitable for travelers who don't want to drive themselves.

very convenient to use! it is cheaper than paying for the actual bus rides (NTD 278 per way) and entrance fee (NTD 150, discounted). you just need to present the QR code when riding the bus and entering the park. the line gets pretty long even on weekdays, so plan accordingly. bus ride takes ~2.5 hours per way and drivers were very careful

This is a very convenient option when going to Alishan. You just really need to take note of the bus schedule and put atleast 30 mins of time allowance since there's a queue especially for the first trip going to alishan (9:30 am) and last trip going back to chiayi hsr station (4:40 pm). Overall, this is a very convenient option. P.S. Alishan uses their wooden train cars during Wednesdays.

Traveling to Taiwan this time, I'd like to take my body to recharge my batteries in the fresh air at Alishan National Park or Alishan (Alishan) a bit. very tiring 30mins walk going back. but alishan is very magical and very cold temperature dropped to 9°C. food is very expensive around the area. there was no fog when we visited

After deciding to take Taiwan Express to Alishan, I compared multiple platforms and even called the Chiayi County Bus Department to ask if I needed to reserve a seat in advance. I judged that 8/20 was a weekday, so I should queue up to get a seat, so I decided to use Klook Order a round-trip ticket for the Taiwan Haoxing Alishan Line, plus tickets to the forest recreation area. The cost is about 10% off the original price and a little cheaper. Plus, when you download the app for the first time, you will get a 100 yuan coupon. It should be the cheapest of all platforms. Arrive about 10 minutes before departure for the round trip, and you can get on the bus smoothly. Recommended for travelers who need to go to Alishan on their own!

easy to use, wait at the bus stop 7 to board the bus. went on off peak so it’s not crowded. the ride up the mountain is very long and has nice scenery good deal

driver is ok and bus comes as expected. Priority given to those with seats so travel during nonpeak only. the bus goes direct up to alishan which is quite a distance.. 2.5hrs.

bus is punctual and good space. however information is not available widely. It brings you up conveniently to some hot spots and good photos! good and love it.
