This place is magnificent and you would have this feeling as. though you travelled back in time. it's great on how they preserved this kind of tourist spot. plus the staff members are all friendly and can speak good English. On my way out, I met an old Japanese man who was very eager to see the place.
How to get a high-speed rail ticket? Guide

  • Built in 1814 by Zhang Tingqin, a candidate instructor from Fengshan who was a tribute student, and listed as a third-class historical site in 1985.
  • In those days, it had 37 rooms. Originally, Wenchang, Kuichang, and Cang Sheng were enshrined in the courtyard, along with desks and chairs. It was a place for students to study and take annual exams in ancient times.
  • The largest existing academy in Taiwan, experience a Qing Dynasty fifth-rank official uniform!

Located next to the City God Temple, Fongyi Academy was built in 1814 and designated as a third-class historical site in 1985. It was built by Zhang Tingqin, a candidate instructor from Fengshan. In the past, it had 37 rooms, and the academy originally enshrined the gods of Wenchang, Kuichang, and Cang Sheng, and also had tables and chairs. It was a place for students to study and take annual exams in ancient times. The architectural details are very sophisticated, and it is also the largest existing academy in Taiwan.

  • Tour Bus: Please temporarily park on the yellow line zone on the roadside in front of Caogong Elementary School on Caogong Road for drop-off (limited to 3 minutes), and visitors can then walk into Fongyi Academy on Fengming Street.
