for return to busan its smoother as had an idea what to expect in terms of procedures. waiting time not as long. The single room is good for a rest for few hours. The oven only 2 to 3 working and the queue easily an hour too. From the ferry terminal to busan Station very close by, taxi few minutes reached hotel.
Traveling from Busan to Fukuoka overnight is a fantastic way to save time, though it's not recommended if you're prone to seasickness. We opted for the most expensive "Special Room" cabin, which had its own bathroom and balcony (though you can't go out on the balcony while the ship is leaving port). The space was very comfortable, with a small area to spread out luggage. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and good water pressure, and the hairdryer worked quickly! You don't need to arrive at Busan Port too early. Check-in for your ferry ticket is before 6:30 PM local time, and customs closes at 7:30 PM local time, so just make sure to go through customs before then. There's a tax refund counter to the left before baggage inspection when entering customs. Boarding begins from 7:40 PM to 8:00 PM. Passengers usually line up their luggage to reserve their spot for the ship's only elevator. There's a very long walk to the boarding entrance (similar to an airport jet bridge). The ship doesn't leave Busan Port until 10:30 PM, and the restaurant closes at 9:10 PM. The next day, disembarkation begins at 7:30 AM. If you want to disembark early, you can take your luggage to line up beforehand, but if you're on a high floor, the elevator won't be available (it starts at 7:30 AM), so you'll need to carry your luggage down the stairs. Once you pass through Japanese customs, you can begin your itinerary in Fukuoka!
Unforgettable experience, although its rainy season if you take this cruise you will get to witness Gwangnan Bridge once the cruise moving on the sea. So, you don't have to wait at Haeundae or Gwanggali beach just to witness illuminating lights from the bridge.
I was apprehensive about the 6-hour ferry ride but in the end it went very well. The cabin had mattresses to rest on so that's what I did, you barely felt the boat moving. Everything was very simple and well organized, I have absolutely no regrets!!! I highly recommend it, and the view when arriving at night in Busan was magnificent. I didn't buy anything on the boat so I don't know how it works but it was written that the currency used on board is the Japanese yen.
I was stressed because I mixed up everyone's first and last names (there were 6 of us), and I forgot one person's second and third names, in the end they didn't say anything, and printed us the tickets! The mattresses in economy class were pretty comfortable (I was pleasantly surprised), there are karaoke, saunas, and arcades where I would probably go on the way back. Despite the storm warning issued in South Korea, the boat was not canceled, and everything went well! I recommend it!
A great way to travel overnight from South Korea to Japan! Hot water stations, microwaves and vending machines are available. Just keep in mind that there are limited elevators so expect to queue for a long time if you bring heavy luggage.
Great way to get to South Korea from Japan. Make sure to check in advance what food options are open or not as the restaurant was closed, meaning very long lines and shortages at the vending machines + microwaves at lunchtime. Also very important: you need to be at the ferry terminal a LOT earlier than the listed departure time for checkin and immigration, check the small print on the issued voucher carefully as it is not super obvious.
Best ferry trip ever! This ferry company thinks about the travelling human's needs. Every budget traveller had an own mattress, blanket and pillow. You could just sleep all the way. Affofdable! food from vending machine. And beer! I didn't find a vending machine with soft drinks though...
am glad I took a private room because after an hour the sea got crazy so it was best to lay down and sleep through it. we also gave our luggage at check in while everyone was taking them with them, you don’t need it, it’s only 6 hours dnd you might sleep the entire way I know I did
Ever since I took a cruise from Osaka to Fukuoka last time, I fell in love with an overnight cruise~~ This time I took a cruise from Busan to Fukuoka. I have to say that Busan is super fun!!! It’s hard to leave. Outlet is great for buying delicious and cheap food, and Taxi is also great. It's very cheap. Taxi prices in Japan are not very friendly... It is recommended that you buy the food you want to eat before boarding the ship. If you want to eat fried chicken, you must buy it outside first. Don't be deceived by bloggers. You can buy fried chicken at the port==, but there is nothing but supermarkets. I was so angry that I couldn’t bear to buy fried chicken for several days. I wanted to go to the ship to eat fried chicken, but I didn’t get anything!!! I want a tax refund. Some people went out of the country early and completely forgot to ask for a tax refund... They thought they were taking a flight back hahaha. The facilities on the boat are okay, but the boat is a bit old. The water in the bath is not hot at all, but the water in the shower head is very hot?_?. The shaking level is worse than that from Osaka to Fukuoka, and it is still shaking 48 hours after disembarking... It is the first time that the boat ride has been shaking for so long, but it is fun, convenient and cheap. I will experience it again if I have the opportunity!! It is also suitable for bringing the elderly. Traveling and visiting two countries at once is great. It’s much more convenient to take a taxi to the port, and Busan taxi is very convenient. If you don’t take it, it’s useless~ I’m thinking about going abroad again QQ
