Taiwan High Speed Rail Unlimited Rail Pass (2/3/5 Days)

Super convenient as I only need to present the voucher and passport. And also, I was able to request that I want to change seats and change our travel time back from Taipei to Kaohsiung (coz I already did advance reservations) and they granted it easily. Btw, they only gave us like a booklet type, not the typical card/paper, that we presented for our back and forth trip from Kaohsiung to Taipei and vice versa. Highly recommended.

Very affordable and convenient. It is highly recommended that you plan your itinerary to maximize this unlimited pass (e.g. travel to Kaohsiung, Taichung, or Chiayi in 3 consecutive days). Note that you can only reserve up to 5x in then HSR site. Claiming and reserving new tickets is very convenient as you can reserve tickets in any HSR stations.

This was my first time using the Taiwan 3-Day Pass, which I had mainly seen used in Japan or Europe. Although I only used it for 2 days due to my itinerary, it was very useful. Initially, I had difficulty downloading and registering it in Korea, so I visited the tourist information center at Taipei Station to activate it and receive the travel pass. After that, I consistently used the unreserved seats without making seat reservations. I easily passed through the inspection points by showing my passport and pass. There was always plenty of seating available in the unreserved sections when traveling to Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, etc. Although Taiwan is a small country, I plan to use it again if I have the opportunity.

It was a very convenient and good value free pass! On the first day, I went south from Taipei to Kaohsiung, and on the second and third days, I went north one station at a time, getting off at every station. The Shinkansen station is far from the city center, so it was a little inconvenient to have to take a local train or taxi. (Like Shin-Yokohama Station and Yokohama Station.) It's a recommended sightseeing pass because you can visit many different cities!

i really saved a lot for this 3 day pass when I visited Taiwan. i’ve been from Taipei to Kaohsiung then went to Chiayi and Hsinchu and back to Taipei via this pass.

super worth it. availed the 3-day unlimited. went to chiayi a several times, went to gloria outlets, went to taichung. super worth it! made out trip more comfortable and bearable. seat reservation process: very easy to reserve a sit. just go to the counter

Redeeming the THSR ticket was very easy and straightforward. The process was smooth at the counter, and staff were helpful. The 3-day pass was really worth it since we were able to travel multiple times and maximize it fully. It saved both time and money, especially when moving between cities. Highly recommended if you plan to travel around Taiwan by high-speed rail.

A round trip from Taipei to Tainan will pay for the pass. When using it, you'll need to show your passport at the manned gate. How to reserve seats: Via the Taiwan High Speed Rail website. Once the reservation is complete, seats are assigned automatically. ABC are the three-seater rows, and DE are the two-seater rows. I wanted an E seat, so I repeated the reservation process until an E seat was assigned. Redemption instructions: You will need your passport and redeem code. You can display the redeem code on your phone screen, write it down, or print it out to show the staff for a smooth process.

If you wanna explore most of Taiwan at your own pace and itinerary, it is the best ticket to get. You have unlimited rides in taiwan high speed train! Best for people who want to mazimize their stay in Taiwan!

Taoyuan to Tainan, Tainan to Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung to Taipei. I had to go to the ticket counter every time, but with just a little effort, I was able to travel at such a good price! Lucky me! Thank you!
