What to expect
This is not your ordinary cafe! Cafe HOOT HOOT allows its patrons to enjoy the company of a beautiful variety of owls that live within it. The fluffy creatures are of various species and origins, absolutely adorable and quite friendly! Enjoy a sweet, hot beverage as you interact with the avian creatures, take photos with them, and even learn about them! The cafe is open until 11pm, so heading there to de-stress after a long day of exploration is a wonderful idea. Learn how to raise owls and the different varieties, and enjoy their company! All the owls have been raised by humans, and quite friendly. See the fluffy snowy owl (like Hedwig from Harry Potter!), the sharp tawny owl, the peering barn owl, the sweet mottled owl, and more!

The owner was very kind and spoke English well. Thd owls were super cute and they are so soft! I went with my son who is 12 and he had a great time.
It's a pity that the environment is not well maintained. The owner of the store is kind. It is possible that there is only an old man running the store, which makes it dirty and the animals are in a bad mood.
This owl cafe was not what I was expecting. The cafe is old & dirty, we were the only customers. And it smelled like an ash tray in there. We believe the owner of the cafe smokes cigarettes inside his cafe. We left the cafe within 30mins of the duration & our clothes & hair were reeking in cigarettes smell. This was not a pleasant experience for us, we left disappointed.
It's more a barn with tables and chairs than a Cafe which I found fine as it's the Owls' habitat. 5 owls are available but you have physical access to 3 of them. The owner doesn't make any effort to give you access to the other 2. The owner was very polite and clear that the experience shouldn't be rushed which I agree. If you are in a rush, this is not for you.
The owls look healthy and in an animal safe environment. The owner is nice too and asked us right away what we would like to drink.
It was really cool to be up close to owls. The owner showed us how and where to pet them and then left us alone. There were two owls on poles on the ceiling and then three down below that you can pet. It was a very quiet atmosphere and did smell of cigarette smoke. The owner does not speak much English, but there are pamphlets with educational materials about the owls available. Due to the nature of the birds, it was a more laid back cafe as opposed to lively and bustling which might not be as fun to some people. A small drink is included with the experience.
This little shop was fairly easy to find with Google maps—owls are gorgeous and you can pet them. The proprietor gives you flexibility to sit and/or interact with the two main owls for the duration. You get a drink. The challenge here—there is a strong tobacco/second hand smoke aroma in the place—it’s not like it’s billowing everywhere, but you definitely smell it. If you are sensitive to that odor, just a heads up on that—we are Californians so we notice these things because smoking is just not allowed inside commercial spaces, so when we smell it, we are more sensitive to it. We bucked up, and hour was plenty to have the experience with the owls—gorgeous creatures.
The boss is very considerate in giving Chinese menus, and the service is also very friendly. The overall environment is really not that good. There are only about 5 owls, and only 2 can be touched. Even though they are large owls, the boss is also attentive. Tell the owl which places are not allowed to be touched, so people who want to go can think about it😀😀
My partner and I visited Cafe HOOTHOOT for an hour long session and the time absolutely flew by, it was such a nice atmosphere and the owner was really lovely, we will definitely go again
The environmental sanitation management was average. The complimentary drinks were the simplest Coke and coffee. I stayed for a while and then left.
