Sydney Opera House Tour and Dine Experience

It’s a must if you are visiting Sydney! Go down to the Welcome Center to get your ticket and the meet up and bag drop is also there. our tour guide, Martin, if very accommodating and passionate about explaining the design and history of the Opera House. The concert hall is overwhelmingly beautiful. During the tour there was piano tuning for a performance at night so we also get to experience the acoustics of the concert hall. Lovely experience!

The tour guide was honestly fantastic, bringing the dramatic history behind the Sydney Opera House to life with so much detail and engaging storytelling. Walking through the various performance halls was a real highlight, as each venue showcased completely different architectural styles and striking interior designs. It was fascinating to see the inner workings up close and learn about the engineering feats behind those iconic shell structures. Finishing off with the dining experience right by the harbor was just the cherry on top. Sitting by the waterfront, enjoying great food with views of the Harbour Bridge and the glittering water made the whole day feel so special. It struck a great balance between being deeply informative and completely relaxing, making it an absolute must-do in Sydney.

Joining the Sydney Opera House guided tour is truly worthwhile! The guide thoughtfully provides headphones and an audio device, ensuring clear sound throughout the tour, which is very comfortable to listen to. Our guide, Joycee, gave a very lively explanation, packed with information within an hour, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of the Opera House's history and architectural features. There were also several photo opportunities along the way, perfect for capturing beautiful souvenir pictures. If you choose the package that includes dining, it's an even better value, combining the tour and a culinary experience in one go. Highly recommended!

the tour is great and I strongly suggest to book earlier timeslot so you can have a better view with less people. my ticket included meals in either restaurant or opera bar. the vibe and drinks of opera bar is greats but not the food 🙂‍↔️

I took the German tour and everything went great! We were given headphones so we could hear the tour guide better. Larger bags can be stored for free if you've booked a tour. A lot was explained to us, and we saw several halls from the inside. In one hall, the performance of Romeo and Juliet was being rehearsed, so we got to watch a bit! The group leader spoke perfect German, so everything was easy to understand (I think she was German herself).

Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and full of fascinating stories — from the challenges of its construction to insights into performances that have graced its stages. We explored several of the main performance halls, and walked through areas not usually open to the public. The tour gave a real appreciation for both the artistry and engineering behind the Opera House. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a performing arts lover, or just curious about one of the world’s most iconic buildings, this tour is well worth your time.

The guided tour here is great, with a great balance of the technical and the historical. Really lovely clarity from the guide over headphones and you get a real sense of both the amazing story behind it and it being a working iconic performing arts venue. Sadly, the eating venues were too busy to redeem the walking tour lunch but it’s valid up to 18:00.

The tour guide was professional and humorous, making it well worth the ticket price. I gained a deeper understanding of the Opera House's construction. We were very lucky to visit both halls. If there's an afternoon performance, you won't be able to enter if the staff are rehearsing on stage! I recommend the 11:00 AM tour time. For lunch, we went to the Open Bar and ordered three different dishes to share, along with some sun-kissed beer. This was the best memory of the trip.
