Visitors aged four and over are required to purchase a ticket, and the price is the same for both adults and children. It is recommended to take a guided tour to gain a deeper understanding of the miners' hardships and toil in the past. The original mine pit and mine cart are preserved on site, and the ticket includes a round-trip mine cart experience of about 15-20 minutes. The entire site is not very large, and it takes about 2-3 hours to take a guided tour and experience the mine cart.
It’s my first time here, and it’s a very special experience. I can understand the hard work of the miners in the past. They were covered in black every day, and it was very bad for their lungs. They really risked their lives to make sure their family had enough food and clothing. You can take the bus that the miners used to take to work every day. It has no shock absorbers and is very shaky. There is a restaurant in the park, but it was full today, so you can't dine in without a reservation.
I really think it’s a very nice park. Not only can you go hiking, but you can also ride an almost authentic miner’s train. Unfortunately, the park doesn’t seem to have the funds to further organize it. However, you can really see the traces of history here, and with professional commentators, it’s even more You can learn about mining life, and there are a lot of old streets nearby that you can visit all day long.
I had always wanted to take a train to the Coal Mine Museum but I went to the wrong old location. The Xinpingxi Coal Mine Museum is on a hill. It takes about 30 minutes to walk there, so be mentally prepared! But the overall experience was great and the sweat was worth it!
If you haven't been there, it's worth experiencing: listen to guided tours, wear a hard hat to walk through a simulated mine, see small exhibitions, bathhouses, coal mining equipment, ride a small mine cart, and more.
The guide explained everything very thoroughly. The ticket booth staff wasn't rude like some people said. The one-way small train ride was quite bumpy due to the old tracks, and the kids found the shaking sensation super fun.
It is the only museum in the country that has been transformed from a real coal mine. It also has the only coal mine train in the country. It is worth buying a ticket just for the train!
A very special place, where you can experience how local miners take a small train to mine. There are also tour guides who carefully explain the origin of the mine. It is worth a visit. 😃👍
