Convenience of booking with Klook: Purchase tickets in advance, no need to set aside time to queue for tickets. Facilities: The aquarium's overall facilities are well-maintained and clean, and the variety of marine life is quite extensive. Service: Staff are friendly and kind. Experience: The children were most excited for penguin feeding time; the penguins were very lively and cute 🐧🤗

We took about a 20-minute walk from the nearest JR station. Easy exchange of ticket at the ticket counter. There are performances at fixed times, including taking photos with seal & penguins up close (paying minimal fee for the printed photo). Overall, Aquarium is not as big as some others in Japan we have been to, but the shows, displays and experience were great.

Although Sendai Aquarium is located in the suburbs, it's definitely worth a visit. It features a wide variety of marine life and a well-planned route. Using the Klook ticket was very convenient. Highly recommended!

Easy exchange of ticket. just follow the instructions and all is done at the Manual ticket counter. show times (4x different shows) can be found on the aquarium website. Aquarium is not big, but displays are compact. you can probably finish the place in 3/4 days if you factor in the show times. enjoyed my visit to the aquarium

This is an amazing aquarium! The "Sparkle of Life" exhibit is truly impressive, and all the other exhibits are worth seeing. Right now, there are also two adorable baby dolphins!

Although it is not the largest aquarium I have ever been to, it still has its own characteristics. What you see when you enter is a large tank full of sardines. You can stay in this place for a long time, with swarms of sardines and screen protectors. It changes into various shapes like a program. The venue for the dolphin show is also great, and there are also feeding activities! Worth a visit!

As we couldn’t get to Geibikei Gorge due to track closures, we searched around Sendai for another activity. Having had a brilliant experience at Kaiyukan, we thought we’d try Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium which is only a short trip from Sendai Station. Lo and behold, Umino-Mori was equally as enjoyable, a modern aquarium with numerous types of animals and exhibits. We especially enjoyed the ‘Sparkling of Life’ show but the dolphin and seal show was next level! Make sure to sit in the front row as you’ll be right next to the dolphins. Only a few food options, but we walked to the nearby outlets for lunch instead. As usual, friendly staff and English map and translations throughout. Top activity for families. Tickets can be bought online in advance, via the vending machine out the front or at the ticket booth.
