What to expect
Brave the dizzying heights of the Shanghai Tower for an unbeatable 360-degree view of Shanghai, where you’ll get to admire the city’s skyline and the neighboring Huangpu river. Standing at 632 meters tall, Shanghai Tower is the tallest skyscraper in China and the second highest in the entire world, making it the perfect place in the city to observe the picturesque sunset and the vibrant city life. Despite the height, going up and down the tower is no problem, as you’ll be taking elevators that reach maximum speeds of 65 kilometers per hour! You’ll also discover why the tower was built in a twisting design through multimedia interaction in the exhibition hall, where you can learn about the tower’s design and architecture. Don’t forget to stop by the tower’s post office, the highest in the world, where sending a postcard becomes a totally different experience!

Scan the QR code for instant entry! Overlook the magical city from above with this time-saving ticket, a must-buy for your Shanghai trip! Travel Type: Solo/Independent Travel 💬 Experience Review and Recommended Advantages: Booking the "Shanghai Tower Observatory" ticket on Klook was incredibly smooth! As the tallest building in China and Asia (and third tallest in the world), the view from the 118th floor (546 meters above sea level) did not disappoint. It offered a breathtaking panoramic view of both banks of the Huangpu River and the Lujiazui skyscraper cluster. 📱 Klook Booking is Extremely Convenient: There were many people buying tickets on-site, but after purchasing tickets in advance on Klook, I just showed my e-voucher and ID for quick verification, saving a lot of time waiting in line to buy tickets! 🚀 Super High-Speed Elevator Experience: Taking the super high-speed elevator, which travels at 20.5 meters per second, I reached the 118th floor in about 55 seconds. The real-time data display inside the elevator was very high-tech, and the ascent was incredibly smooth. 🖼️ 360-Degree Panoramic View: The panoramic glass curtain wall offers an excellent view. The once towering Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jin Mao Tower were all below me, making it perfect for photos. 💡 Practical Tips for Travelers and Visiting Guide: Recommended Entry Time: I highly recommend entering 1.5 hours before sunset! This way, you can enjoy the "clear daytime panorama," the "sunset glow," and the "million-dollar night view as the lights come on," offering the best value. Entry and Security Check: The observatory requires real-name registration, so remember to bring your ID or passport. The on-site security check is quite strict (flammable items and some camera tripods are prohibited), so it's advisable to allow 20-30 minutes for security. High-Altitude Photography Tip: At night, the indoor glass can be reflective. It's recommended to press your phone or camera lens as close to the glass as possible when shooting for very clear pictures! Overall Review: Much more convenient than waiting in line to buy tickets on-site. The price is reasonable, and entry with the voucher is seamless. Whether it's your first time in Shanghai or you want to admire the magical city's ultimate skyline, booking in advance on Klook is highly recommended!
Excellent experience with this view from the 119th floor of the Shanghai Tower: how small the houses are! You feel the pressure going up and down the elevator! The view of the Bund is magnificent when everything lights up.
Truly recommended, I went there when there was Chinese holiday and the queue was killing me but as soon as I was on top of the building, it all pays off. You can go to 125/126th Fl after queuing some more at the 118th Fl, IMO not much different but you can brag to ppl 😂. A must when you are in Shanghai, it's much better to come here than Shimao Building or Oriental Pearl tower, apart from the obvious reason that currently this is the tallest building in China, the glass wall is straight so it won't ruin your experience in taking nice pictures or just simply to gaze at the Huangpu river and Lujiazui CBD.
I always love the view at the top. Here, u have the Oriental Pearl, Financial Tower & Jin Mao Tower view. U also have the options to go to higher floors (125F I think) I just went to 118F. Better to go at midday so the sky will be clear or if u prefer at night u can go as well to see the city with lights.
highly recommended. one of the world tallest building with breathtaking view. definitely worth the trip. Will recommend everyone to purchase this via klook. redemption is seamless and easy. there is also the light show that is a must-visit.
Highest building in Shanghai and you can see the entire scenary of the bund n Huangpu river and oriental pearl. Really recommended to take the dinner too
Very convenient, just show the QR Code and you can go up to see the view of Shanghai. Beautiful both day and night If you have a chance, you want to go see the sunset. When I went it was raining and the sky was closed. Unfortunately, it was still beautiful.
At the top, the view is very beautiful. Take the elevator quickly In just a moment, we reached the upper floor, the 118th floor. You can walk and admire the views from various angles around the building. The walkway is in a circle. The sunset is very beautiful. At night, the buildings below will turn on their beautiful lights.
easy entry, just exchange qr code for a physical ticket. I went around 8pm and there was no one else at all going up. At the 118th floor, there were also very very few tourists so finding a spot to take photo is not a problem. There’s also a souvenir shop and you can buy the official tower photo they edited for you. (They take your photo at the ground floor and put shanghai skyline in the background.)
Definitely get the package with the Damper show, it was breathtaking, truly a marvel 🩵 Do note that before queueing for the Damper show, you’ll need to book your entry schedule for it through the big tablet near the Damper show queue entrance on the 118th floor. (went early April, not sure if it’s still the same system, see photos). You will just scan your QR and pick your schedule and every person should have one paper receipt ticket. We were just lucky we saw locals tinker with it so we also tried it, we had no idea it was necessary. Easy booking through Klook, we bought on the day. No need to exchange for a physical ticket or anything, just head straight to the queue, they will scan the QR when you enter!
